Course Curriculum Overview
I am in final semester and still feel like it's not over yet. The reason is CSE doesnt end and even after learning coding and all the programing language there's still a lot more which can be learnt. Our academics do gives us a chance to learn as much as we can even in UG. So our UG is as good as any PG course.
Internships Opportunities
In my 6th semester when I got the opportunity to intern and it was in none other than Bengaluru. Yes, Fang Companies came for hiring intenrs and even took some with a stipend as high as 70000 a month. I couldn't get that but happy with the one that I got.
Placement Experience
At GEU companies visits for fun and that fun continues and grow as the years are passing. If last year it were 10 students getting 40+ LPA packages, the university has tripled that figure. So, placements are the biggest strong hold of GEU and that is what students happily the hefty price that the university charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Astronomical University is what GEU is and we have got enough firepower in the university. The fees therefore is fiery as it is close to 5 lakhs a year. Not an easy thing but to get access to an university like GEU as fees is battling. However given how strong the university is fees is totally worth it.
Campus Life
Events here are not as per months but festivals. Yes, University hosts one of the largest fest in GRAFEST but Uttarakhand Day and all religious festivals of GEU are next level. So, not just that, tech events, seminars on AI and deep tech are held regularly. Experts come to our campus and lecture us in our very beautiful auditorium about the same.
Admission
Graphic Era Common Entrance TEST is more or less now mandatory as admission process in GEU now are not possible without that or JEE ranks below 15000. If one wants scholarship though they have to qualify through GECET and one can win upto 20% scholarship if they are in top 100.
Faculty
It is impossible that when will not fall in love with the teaching acumen of GEU faculties. They will bring in a right smile and immediately notice who aren't feeling good. They will make them sit in front and keep cracking jokes so that everyone feels inclusive. Only our faculty members can do this and for this even if they have some flaws, I won't even discuss that.
Night Life
Inside the college it's our building as it has every thing and the lobby on the ground floor where students are seen practicing dance moves. Some even do standup acts and usually before I leave the university, I do spend sometime entertaining myself over there. Outside the university Clement Down doesn't have much but within 50kms radius we have many tourist destinations like the Haridwar, Rishikesh and Mussoorie to hangout.
