Remarks

The laboratory infrastructure and technician were very good in our times but the quality of regular faculties should be improved and the TPO Should be efficient enough to attract good companies for campusing.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It was a 4 years full time degree course which had fetch us a graduation degree of btech. Each year we had two semesters and a total of 8 semesters. And the end of each semester we had to appear for an semester examination and practical examination and marks were awarded in cgpa.

Placement Experience

2.5

Then placements in our time was not up to the mark. We had a few pool campusing opportunities and other than that only one start-up came to our college for campusing. Our college didn't provide internship but used to make arrangements to attend seminars and workshops at other rated colleges like IIT Delhi, VIT, IIT Kharagpur etc. The stipend was given to some students who academically sound but economically not so good. This stipend was awarded only a few times.

College Events

4

Previously technical fest was organized at our college but later on cultural festival was aslo included in the program. Apart from that annul sports ATHCRAZE is held every year in the even semester. Apart from these religious festivals were aslo celebrated in our college irrespective of any caste, Creed or religion.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was such that we had to pay a tuition fee of 70000, 72000,74000 and 76000 in each of the 4 years respectively. Apart from that we had to pay hostel rent, mess charges, traveling fee etc. So, we can't say that the fee structure was too feasible but was quite less as compared to other non- government engineering colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The loan facility was available in our college at a very less interest rate. Apart from that scholarships of 19600 was provided per year to the socially and economically Backward communities by the government that was checked and forwarded by our college authority.

Campus Life

4

Our college supported the extra curricular activities a lot. As mentioned earlier it organizes technical fest every along with the annual sports. Besides it supports an NGO named SPARSH that was authorized by the students which provides education to the local children who couldn't avail education and besides they were also provided medical facilities. The laboratory infrastructure was up to the mark and were full of newly installed machines.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel infrastructure was not good enough to support a basic amenities. Most of the times we had complaints about different issues including the fans, lights, tap, water, sports kit etc. These basic things were required to be more organized. The sorroundings were also not in healthy conditions and proper cleaning was not done.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not so active in our college and the most important reason for this is the remote location of our college. It's not easy to got to the college frequently for us who stay far away from the college. The seniors were , by the way very helpful as they always helped us with their resources and knowledge.

Admission

The Selection is on the basis of ranking of the WBJEE. We the students had to fill up the choices of college and the departments in the e-counselling process and then we were allotted a college along with the department as per our rank and the choices made by us. The choices should be filled according to our preferences from top to down. After the college got allocated we had to report at the reporting centre and lock the choice or apply for upgradation if we wanted college amongst the higher preferences. After locking the college we had to go to the college and complete the final admission process.

Faculty

4

We have experienced both excellent and moderate qualities of faculties but the main problem we had with our college laid in its incapability of retaining good faculties over time. In those 4 years we had seen many good faculties to leave our college for different reasons. Speaking more about the faculties I must say that most of them were tremendously helpful and easy to communicate. They tried their best to make us understand and help us at the difficult situations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.
