Remarks

Good college. Best college in North Karnataka best college among the recently opened medical colleges in Karnataka. Good results by students. Improving every year. Dynamic administration and teaching faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Four year exams. First year 3 , second year 4 , third year 3 ,final year four subjects. It may appear tough but once you get the hang of it it's manageable. You need 50 percent marks to pass each year. If you fail you can take the exam again after a month. You need to pass both theory and practical.

Placement Experience

3.5

Internship of one year after final year. Can work as junior resident after internship. No placements as this is medical college. We are payed 20 thousand per month. It is a bit hectic but it is so in all hospitals.

College Events

3

Freshers day: junior most batch perform, the only day we rag juniors. Ganesh chaturti: conducted by junior batch usually, visarjan on final day with DJ, Guru Poornima, Teachers day, Goonj- intercollegiate fest for three days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is decided by the NEET exam committee, it is cheap as it is a government college. It is 60000 per year. Hostel fee 8000 per year. That is worth paying for MBBS degree. We also have a college scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

GIMS spandhana is a scholarship given by our college. Criteria is academic performance, parents income and attendance, the amount obtained needs to be returned back when we start working in installments.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are like any medical college equipped adequately. One common ground for all sports activities.no indoor stadium or swimming pool. Campus is moderately big. No particular extracurricular clubs. We have cricket and football team.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is currently under second phase of construction. We get a cot, table, chair, drawer, by the hostel. We have geyser in rooms and fan with big windows. Rooms are not sound proof. Four people in a room now.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful no alumni yet as we are the senior most batch and we shall be graduating after an year.seniors provide good guidance about how to study and the books to study. No ragging at all in our college.

Admission

Pay the fee as prescribed by the NEET in the office as chalan. The fee is payed in the office which is in the main building or A block. I got my admission after third round of counseling. The chalan needs to be filled and payed in the bank along with a bond.

Faculty

3.5

They are okay. Like everywhere some are good some are fine. They teach us well. Unlike other medical colleges they teach us well but then they reciprocate the interest we show. Less strict compared to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
