Admission to Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) is merit-based, requiring candidates to clear entrance exams like NEET-UG and KCET, and scoring at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 12th grade. The MBBS program admits 150 students annually, with a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:30. Faculty members are experienced and provide diverse teaching methods, combining theoretical and practical knowledge. Recently, GIMS has introduced PG courses, supported by a competent faculty team.

The annual tuition fee ranges between Rs 60,000 and Rs 67,000, with a total of approximately Rs 3,35,000 for five years. Hostel fees are Rs 8,000 annually, and mess fees are Rs 3,000 monthly.
