Course Curriculum Overview
As soon as an integrated BBA+MBA was introduced by IIMs, it made things very easier for students to get into IIMs. Our curriculum has what most B-Schools have and therefore let me share what extra do we have. We have many other courses at our campus and we are urged to join them. We have a happiness course to make sure we stay high on happiness index and now this is something which only IIMs can introduce.
Placement Experience
Till we are doing BBA there are no placements but from 4th year we are posted directly for MBA and then the placement eligibility starts. Average is between 10-15 lakhs and many prominent industries which we have heard of have started coming to IIM Jammu. Also, placements record were nearly 96% at IIM Jammu.
Fees and Financial Aid
IIM Jammu is a new generation IIM and is as good as 1st Gen IIMs. Our fees for integrated course is 6 lakhs a year and that is inclusive of hostel fees. In IIM there are no scholarship of special case like for SC/ST students as IIMs have been kept away from reservations and also away from special admission criteria.
Campus Life
A heaven or a paradise would be an understatement for the kind of campus that we have. It's as beautiful and amazing as it can be and is as big that we can have as much fun inside the campus. Our library is in partnership with Bloomberg and therefore we get a lot of research material there. Also there's a playroom in our block and besides that we have 2 beautiful lawns at our campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are inside the campus and seperate for boys and girls. Girls hostel have a common room and boys can come there likewise same is there in boys hostels as well. Mess is common and last meal served there is top soon for my liking as mess closes at 9 pm.
Admission
Every single IIM too I think have their own method and way and our admission were done through JIPMAT. Half of the students were then cut-down after the interview process which again is tough and gives a perfect run for the money.
Faculty
Faculties of our college are engaging as each student get equal attention from our faculties. Our faculties takes us on field to apply the same in our classroom learning and this has what made our learnings simplified. All professors are of highest ranks as not just experienced but seasoned as well when it comes to teaching.
Interview Experience
Interview is mandatory and tough questions at asked. 12th students are even not prepared for it and such level of difficult questions are asked. This is where our confidence and honesty is checked and after passing this round only we are entitled for admission here.
Night Life
Our campus location is on Katra Road and Mata Vaishnodevi Dham is not far. For nature lovers there are spots like Jhajjar Kotli, Sanasar and Patnitop. Since we have many courses and all in our campus, I go out only during long weekends as otherwise it is not possible for anyone to stepout.
