Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the B.Com curriculum at LNMU around 7.5/10 for relevance and coverage. I chose this course because it included all the important commerce subjects needed for government exams, higher studies like MBA, and basic professional courses. The syllabus builds a good theoretical foundation, but it lacks practical exposure like Tally, GST or real industry projects. Teaching methods are simple and could be improved with more modern, interactive approaches. Exams are held twice a year and follow predictable patterns, so the difficulty level is moderate. With notes and regular study, most students clear them easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

For General category (my category), the overall fees are quite affordable. Each year the total fee comes around 5,000. This includes: Tuition Fee: 2,000 Registration/Admission Fee: 800 Development Fee: 700 Lab/Library Fee: 500 Caution Money: 500 (one-time, paid in 1st year) Other compulsory charges: 500 (exam forms + university charges) Total for 1st Year: approx. 5,500 Total for 2nd & 3rd Year: approx. 5,000 per year There is no major increase in fees every year; the amount remains almost the same. 2. Fees Paid by My Batchmates (Other Categories) SC / ST Category: Total yearly fee is around 3,000 – 3,500 They get some concessions in development and tuition fees. Management / Other Quota Students: Their yearly fee goes 7,000 – 8,000 depending on the college under LNMU. Additional development and admission charges are higher. 3. Scholarships Available LNMU students get access to multiple government scholarships. Some popular ones for B.Com students include: (A) Merit-cum-Need Scholarship If a student has 80% or above in 12th, they receive: 12,000 per year for all 3 years of graduation This is the most common scholarship, and many students from my batch have received it. (B) Post Matric Scholarship (for SC/ST/OBC/EBC) Amount varies from 2,000 to 10,000 per year Depends on the student’s category and family income. (C) College-Level Merit Scholarships A few colleges under LNMU give 3,000 – 5,000 per year to toppers or rank holders. 4. Total Course Fee (For Complete 3 Years) General Category: approx. 15,000 – 15,500 SC/ST Category: approx. 9,000 – 10,500 Management Quota: approx. 21,000 – 24,000 Since fees do not increase significantly, the total remains almost constant for all 3 years.

Campus Life

3

My campus life experience was quite normal; there weren’t many events or big festivals. Sometimes activities like badminton or volleyball took place, but overall nothing very special happened on campus. Still, the environment was peaceful and social interaction among students was decent. The library was okay—it had the basic commerce books, journals, and previous year papers that were helpful during exams. Classrooms were simple, and a few had projectors. Overall, campus life wasn’t very exciting, but it was safe, comfortable, and manageable.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because of its affordable fee structure, safe environment and the balanced commerce curriculum it offers. I had also applied to two other nearby colleges—one was more expensive and the other had limited seats for B.Com, though I did get confirmed admission in one of them. I preferred LNMU because the faculty reviews were better, the campus felt more comfortable, and the academic load was manageable along with other commitments. I didn’t get into one college because their cutoff went higher than expected that year. The admission process at my college is simple: students need to pass 12th with the required percentage, apply online through the university portal, and then wait for the merit list. Usually no separate entrance exam is needed; admissions are purely merit-based, and the cutoffs for B.Com stay around the average range but vary slightly every year. Overall, the admission experience was smooth and quick.

Faculty

3

In our B.Com class, the faculty-to-student ratio was around 1:40. Teachers were generally approachable, especially for doubts related to exams and assignments. If you showed interest, they always responded well. The curriculum covers all core commerce subjects: Accountancy, Economics, Business Law, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, and Management. It is relevant for government exams, CA/CS foundation, and basic commerce jobs, though it is more theory-based than practical.

Currently not many as Bihar hardly have industries but our college has made some connections and therefore those industries come for placements. However only 30-35% students are placed and not many as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free.

Nothing influenced me yet i just have to go for it because of my graduation . Yes they prepare you good enogh for the rat race you are gonna do in coming future . The curriculam is a joke they will put information today and you have to get today only . I would suggest some of the rules and regulations should be maintained by the staffs and students even with teachers. Exams should in such manner no student can atleast face problems regarding admit cards and can cheat . there is no difficulty in in mid one but final one .

So about the influence and all there is nothing which can influence me, their system is totally a useless one they'll notify you today that today is your admit card is available to get , and after that you'll not get one . There's no rule to follow when you're getting your admit card or any documents there is no line everybody is gathered surrounded by other person. So this is what I think They should improve the condition of discipline and rules Abe regulations. About exams as I told you before it's not that hard I think rarely their are students who get failed in those exams but in final one yeah our centre is the other colleges so their is the probability.

Firstly the college doesn't prepare students for the real world. Teaching methods of the teachers are okay but it doesn't help in the real world competition. No extra curricular activities are held for students. College gives enough time for preparation for the examination. Anyone can pass easily in this college.
