Remarks

Overall the college is not bad however not so good also. The quantity and quality of the faculties need to be taken care of. Companies should come to the college for students and not the students should go to the other colleges for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

One can choose from Mechanical, Electronic and communication, Electrical, Computer science, information technology, applied electronics, production engineering branches for B.Tech. course. In 4 years, a total eight semester are there every 6 months. In each semester there are 6 theoretical paper and 3 to 4 practical. Candidate have to score well in all of them to increase the CGPA

Placement Experience

2

Placement in the college is good only for the CS and IT candidates although all the candidates of the college are eligible for setting in the drive of IT company and that too not in the college in some Kolkata's college Few companies visited Asansol also from technical and IT sector but the number of placement for other streams are very poor. About the internship, the college will help you to complete it before the final year but there is no stipend related to that.

College Events

2.5

Regarding events, there are Annual fest, many internal quizzes, cricket event, football event, presentation contest, writing contest and many more. It's the will power of the candidate that how he/she manage to enrol themselves in most of them along with the general studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite simple, the fee to be paid per semester most probably at the starting of the new semester. Extra charges like library fees, examination fees, medical, etc. are there. Every year fees increase by 4000 I.e., 2000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship and loan facility is available by the college however if a candidate belongs to the state of West Bengal and have a family income of fewer than 3 LPA then it MAY be possible that 50% of the fees will be waived off.

Campus Life

4

Labs are pretty good as compared with the other colleges of the same university. Infrastructure is also good. For sports, no indoor sports games. Only cricket and football teams are there

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Separate Hostels are there for girls and boys but not for all. Seats are available on first come serve basis. One separate hostel is there for fresher boys and the other is for all.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful only if you are living with them in the hostel. No interaction between seniors and juniors in the college premises. College doesn't put any such efforts to bring all the alumni together.

Admission

One can get into by WBJEE and IIT-JEE score. These exams are multiple choice question type. After the result announcement, the candidate has to fill the online counselling form in descending order of college and branch preference.

Faculty

3

Faculties are good and cooperative but less in number, Almost all the faculties have done their M.tech. Many faculties are taking multiple subjects although their master is in one only subject only.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

The minimum placement opportunities of our college is good . If you are in good in aptitude, Group discussions and your CV and technical skills are strong then you can easily crack a 7-10lpa job from our college. Overall our college provides decent opportunities for our placements but you need to maintain certain GPA to sit on those placements

After the 6th semester we are eligible for the internship, also we can apply for both on campus and off campus placements. In our college some companies like Geotech, Infosys, Code Clouds, Unibit solutions visit every year. Average package is in the range of 3.5-5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is nearly 6-7Lpa. But post covid time our placement record decreased a bit. Nearly about 80-85% of CSE students get placed every year. Also I am currently appearing in interview of different companies for placement.
