Course Curriculum Overview

5

Relevance and Comprehensiveness I would rate the btech's AC curriculum at LPU 9 out of 10 in the terms of relevance depth and practical exposure the syllabus is constantly updated to match current industry trends like artificial intelligence data size machine learning cloud computing cyber security one of the main reason I chose LPU was its industry integrated curriculum many subjects are designed in collaboration with tech companies like Microsoft Intel Google cloud and IBM this not build the strong fundamentals but also help students become job ready before graduation Real World Application and Academic Preparation from the second semester itself we start the hands on coding labs real projects and hackathons students also get the option to pursue minor and major projects with mentors which involves problem solving and in teamwork skills help you also offers industry internship and project based learn learning modules so we get practical exposure alongside academics. Area of Improvement while the curriculum is strong overall there are a few areas that could be improved some first year subjects like environmental science or communication skills could be made more technical and engaging coding course could include more competitive programming practice like lead code or code force level fuel lab systems sometimes field theory heavy more real world could make them more impactful however the good part is that help you update its syllabus almost every year based on student and industry feedback so these improvements are possible Final Verdict: alpu btech CSC curriculum is one of the most industry relevant future focuses in India it provides a perfect mix of theory practical learning and project exposure preparing students effectively for both placement and higher studies.

Placement Experience

Campus Life

4

My overall campus life experience at LPU has been quite dynamic engaging and full of learning opportunities both academically and socially university provides a very lively environment where students from different parts of India and even abroad come together which make it culturally rich and socially vibrant life and festivals help you host multiple festival throughout the year both academic and cultural the annual fest 1 India usually held in March is one of the most iconic events it celebrates the diversity of Indian states through the food stalls dance and cultural performances similarly one world is an international fest that showcase the culture of different countries represented by foreign students at LPU apart from these there's a hackathon for tech enthusiasts and youth vibe which is a national level cultural and technical festival held every number featuring concerts competition and celebrity performance. library and learning resources:- are the Central Library at alpine's one of the best features of the campus its massive spread across several floors with thousands of books research journals magazines and online database they they also provide digital access to IEEE spinzer and science tarik which helps a lot for technical or research oriented work these are subject disposable libraries in individual academic blogs too so students don't always need to go to the main library. Students CLubs and Social Environment there are more than 200 plus clubs and incident organizations like kodas club Google developers student club NSS drama club photography society and fitness and Sports Club I was personally part of the entrepreneurship cell and it helped me develop leadership and networking skills the social environment is quietly friendly you meet people from all the States and there's a healthy balance of fun and competition university university also runs a student portal called UMS which helps students track attendance Marks and notices efficiently.

Admission

My Decision Making Process when I was exploring college for B.Tech in computer science engineering CSE I focus on three main factors academic placement records and scholarship opportunities after comparing several universities I chose Lu because it provides the best combination of quality education affordability and national recognition among India's top 50 universities for engineering LP is one of them infrastructure world class campus with modern labs 24 into 7 Wi-Fi hostels and digital classrooms faculty is our highly qualified professors from iits and ITS very approachable mostly local faculties less research Expos placement is top recruiters like Amazon Infosys cognizant Capgemini bridges every year I got a scholarship of 50% from LPNS and Airtel vidya Bharti scholarship which is providing me full support of my academics. i'd also explored college like amethyst university chandigarh university and sarda university but alpheus chewed out because of its placement consistency and wide exposure if you ask me why I prefer to help you then my five major points will be scholarship advantage I receive 50% scholarship through happiness and all additional Airtel bharathi scholarship covering my four year fee and living cost national repetition help is consistently ranked among India's top private industry connections collaboration with repetitive companies for training internship and certifications campus diversity students from more than 50 countries a great environment for communication and exposure safety infrastructure secure environmental clean hostels and modern academic blocks. Admission Process:- the admission process of LPU is very smooth and student friendly first I applied for the alpinas scholarship through the official website based on my score I received 50% tuition fee scholarship after the result I completed my online counseling and seat allotment final step was document verification registration which was all done online entire process was easy .

Faculty

5

1. faculty to student ration and approachability. Faculty to student ratio at LP is around 1 ratio 25 which is quite good for such a large university every class or section has a set of dedicated subject faculty members and mentors who monitors attendance performance and overall growth the faculty members are approachable and supportive most of them are available even after class hours and they respond quickly through the university portrait or e-mail if you show interest in projects or search they guide you personally. 2. faculty Quality and Teaching Style. Most professors are highly qualified with many holding degrees from iits and ITS and reputed international universities teaching methods include smart classroom and lab sessions weekly assignment and mini projects coding practice through industry level performs group discussion and presentation to improve communication skills I especially like that LP focuses on application based learning not just rote memorization. 3.Some of the best faculties i personally liked are Prof. Aurag sir (Programming Fundamentals)-he explains logic from scratch and give extra coding practice material. Professor Anila Dhingra 4. Faculties I didn't like Much without naming anyone i felt that some newly appointed faculties in the first semester were not as experienced in handling large classes. 5. Cource structure and Curriculum the B.Tech CAC structure is quite comprehensive and industry focused in the first two years focus is on core subjects like programming data structure mathematics and electronics in the latter years students get to choose specialization like AI MLD data science or cyber security curriculum includes internship industry certification and project based learning which helps in placement syllabus is updated frequently in collaboration with companies like Microsoft and Intel 6. Exam System and Marking scheme CA exams Midterm exam end term exam

Night Life

5

The nightlife at lovely professional university albu is quite different from what you might find in city based colleges while it's not a party oriented environment it offers a referencing mix of energy safety and pays for late evenings vibes that keep the students socially active and relaxed after busy day of lectures help use nightlife revolves around fitness food social interaction and self development rather than collapse or pause and that's what make it unique as the winx sets in the academic blogs become quieter but the hostel areas cafeterias and sports complexes start filling with the life after 5:00 PM you will find the students playing football or basketball under floodlights the entire Sports Complex remains open until around 9:00 PM allowing everyone to enjoy a game or workout after classes gym inside hostel and central fitness centre also stay active during this time many students prefer evening or late night workouts and university encourages it by providing extended hours

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
