Likes

The Syllabus is good compared to other colleges.
College timing is also very les like 16 hr per week (for SY)

Dislikes

It has a very huge intake so it might be difficult at the time of placement
the campus is very small compared to intake

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is really good. WE have very good subjects which are really use . And there are 2 exams one mid sem and endsem . During that we have our project reviews, presentaions , vivas , written papers.

Internships Opportunities

I am a second year student so i don't have much knowledge about the internshiop opportunities in college. BUt as I have heard from my hostel seniors that there are many internship opportunies if we study well .

Placement Experience

As per my knowledge , students from 3 rd yeear are eligible for on campus internships. As per official website highest package is 51 LPA , and the average for CS Department is 10.9 LPA . The placement percentage is 96 for last year CS branch

Fees and Financial Aid

For girls with with annual income below 8 lakhs the fees is nearly 30K irrespective of cate. For open category it is nearly about 2 Lakh. For OBC boys it is around 1 Lakh. For SC/ST girls and boys it 5K which gets refunded later. We can also apple for various scholarships on buddy4study. ALso there are other scholarships like Lila PoonaWala, Catalyst, Cabbage whose sessions are provided by college.

Campus Life

Uptil last year there were 3 fests. 1) Viswakarandak ( Inter Department Competion) 2) Cresendo ( Inter College Fest) 3) Vishwotsav ( It had 3 days -> Bollywood/Mismatch, Western , Traditional) .There are 50+ clubs in college. Variety of books are available in college library.

Admission

I have applied for COEP, VJTI, SPIT , PICT and VIT . But as my CET score was low I got admission in VIT. Mostly the cutoff of VIT is 98.5 for OPEN category . As my pecentile was 98.41 I could not secure admission in the other applied colleges

Faculty

Faculty is supportive . I the first year both the sems i had a very good maths faculty. the level of exams in first year was moderate like if just pay attention in lectures u can easly score above 9 CGPA .

Night Life

Around the college there not much hangout spots. It is not compusory to stay in college hostel. There are many private hostels/pgs near college. College hostel in timing is 10 pm. College hostel is 2km far away from college.

SCOE has a strong record of attracting mass recruiters, especially for the IT and Computer Science branches. An aggregate score of 60% or higher (or 6.0+ CGPA). So many companies are coming for placements in college campus such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Nvidia and etc. international companies offers, such as ?27 LPA+ from companies like Japan Third Party. In college web site they can say 90% or even 100% students get placed but honestly 70 to 80% students get placed with average package 6LPA. And some students have high package because of his/her afferts. Just I enrolled in first year as engineering students my first goal is get 9+ CGPA.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission.
