Course Curriculum Overview

5

BSc looks like a mere graduate program but only if you are not studying in Scaler as here BSc (Hons) is as tough as engineering here. Course has languages and physics and maths and probably everything that an engineering syllabus can cover, we have all of it.

Placement Experience

5

Highest package from graduate program was of 12 lakhs and average as of now stands at 6 lakhs. From Deloitte to big tech names, most of them come to our college for placements. It's a college where getting placed is as easy as it can be.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scaler School of Technology, Bangalore is one of the best school for learning technology without the tag of engineering. The fees is very high though its over 3.5 lakhs a year and also the hostel fees is 3 lakhs a year making it over 6.5 lakhs a year to study here if we also avail the hostel services.

Campus Life

5

The campusnos of a building which has both Scaler School of Business and Scaler School of Technology. From Innovation Labs to Sick Room, we have it all and because campus is small, hostels are off campus. So, it's a great college and has elevators seperate for students and faculties. A small playground and soon we will have a badminton court as it is getting constructed. Orientation Day and Convocation Day are two of the biggest days celebrated at our college.

Hostel Facilities

5

Our hostel buildings Uniworld is quite big and has a capacity of around 400 students. As that many students stay at the hostel. Also, it is mandatory to stay at the hostels for 1st and 2nd year students as college doesn't allow students to opt for private accomodation.

Admission

Admission are thorough merit as even though not many students apply here due to notion that it is just a BSc program. The cut-offs are always in the 80s and overall for integration and normal Hons Programs around 400+ seats are there and that many students enroll every year at Scaler School of Technology.

Faculty

5

Faculties of Scaler School of Technology are exceptional and have a talent and knowledge which is best by a margin. So, they teach us the traits and along with that because they have enough experience and exposure themselves they also make sure we are thrown out of our comfort zone. Professor Harsheen is my favourite of all.

Night Life

5

Hostel intime is 8 pm and it is in the market area and is secured. Close to the campus there are two malls and a turf to play cricket. Also, Starbucks, Burger King and all my favourite food joints are close to the hostel as since our hostel is off campus, we have to come to the hostel as soon as college ends.

Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.

The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

Placement Experience:

The placement scene in this college is promising, especially for students pursuing B.Sc and M.Sc programs. it has a dedicated placement and training cell that actively prepares students for the recruitment process by mock interviews. students become eligible for placements in final year. the top recruiting companies includde infosys, wipro, cognizant etc. On an average 50 to 60% of eligible students get placed with the remaining either pursuing higher education or looking for opportunities in civil service or elsewhere. My plans after my graduation is to pursue masters in forensic science in NFSU and then to work in the FSLs
