- Students, the people here are from all around the india. So you get to meet many people
- Transparency, I can go through my TNP website and find the data of all the company that have visited the college
- Some faculty are among world top 2% scientist.
Dislikes
- Hostel situation, many less seats available
- Small campus size, I finished exploring the college in a single day
- The club activities are not funded very much.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good for 2nd and 3rd yr, but I believe that 1st yr course is waste of time. And the core knowledge should start from first year only, instead of teaching common basic subject, student already have grasp of in class 12th.
Internships Opportunities
Very few companies come for internship. We apply to companies by ourselves my mailing professors or HR by ourselves. Caterpillar came for internship last year and offered 20,000 last year, took 3 student but gave PPI to only 1 student
Placement Experience
From 7th semester, the placement starts. Till now around 30-40 snrs have placed. All the good snrs I know and have already been placed. Companies like- Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, JSL, JSPL, JWL, netarwala, Amazon, Dassault System, Reliance, phonepe, Deloitte, come to our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am of general caste and have no income certificate, so I am paying full fees, that is around 70,000 per semester, so for entire year it is 1,40,000. But many people of different category or by using income certificate are paying around only 6000 rupees per semester so for entire year they are paying 12000. Many scholarship or financial opportunity are available like NSP portal OP jindal scholarship from our college side. Top student from each branch also get some amount, though it is very less.
Campus Life
Campus and club activities you can easily get involved with and provide ample opportunity for one to have personal growth. I am involved with Motosports club and we participate in 2 national competition- eBaja and Formula Bharat, the college provide funds and place for us to build and tools for building.
Hostel Facilities
In terms of hostel facility, in room we have bed, electricity and table and chair. We all student reside in triple sharing. The meal is very bad, the only silver point is the milk that we recieve, only 3 days a week. Registration process is according to college administration only and you just need to fill the form and submit it.
Admission
I got this college through josaa counselling using my jee mains rank. I did not had any much dream of studying in this college,but after spending here. I find it decent. I ultimately locked as I lived nearby and can visit home often. It is located near heart of city, so we can visit nearby places very easily. Though the fault and the bad from comparing from different college andy only regret is campus size, it should have been more big
Faculty
Some faculty are very approachable, while some are not, the faculty to student ratio thing is alright. All my doubts are taken and discussed seriously and given ample time for discussion. My favourite faculty is RSK sir, he is dynamics teacher, the subject is hard but he is very patient. I would say, there are no particular faculty I dislike. Only 2 exams- midsems and endsems. As for how many student pass or fail, it depends upon teacher, if teacher strict then he would fail. But mostly if you try you minimum, then you can pass easily
Night Life
No night life. Students not allowed out of hostel after 10pm. My college night life exist only inside my hostel and consist of playing badminton at 3 am, in hostel court, late night maggis, no night canteen nothing. So don't expect much in terms of night life
