Course Curriculum Overview
--- The course curriculum at NIT Kurukshetra is comprehensive and industry-oriented. It covers core fundamentals along with electives, ensuring both academic depth and practical exposure. Regular labs, projects, and updated syllabi prepare students for real-world applications as well as higher studies. Exams are well-structured and held on time, with moderate difficulty. Some subjects could include more hands-on training and industry case studies, but overall the curriculum is highly relevant and effect.
Placement Experience
I guess from 4 year campus placements start Companies visits - google, microsoft , flipkart , amazon , and many more If i talk about percentage of placement it would be arounf 70% including all branches. My plan after degree is to get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is divided into two parts First one is academics which includes tution fee and hostel fees the other one is mess fee. Academic fee depends on your income , If your income is below 1 lac - no tution fee. If below 5 lac - 1/3 to be paid Mess fee- 40000
Campus Life
Annual festival is confluence and there is also tech fest , club events. . Libraby is big so it has large range of books. Talking about sport it is one of the best as their is a large campus and all facilities are available.
Hostel Facilities
There is 3 lan cables , 2 fan and 3 students sharing one room for first year , 3 chair and table to study and only one switch so we have to buy an extension cable . Meal quality is good Registration process - bring your family adhar card photocopy and then come to hostel officeand fill some forms and pay fees.
Admission
I chose nit kkr because of its high reputation and alumni network. No i filled this college as my first choice The admission process is simple , we have to clear an entrance exam called jee main , eligibility of jee main is 12th class appearing and you can take two drops
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio at NIT Kurukshetra is quite balanced, and most of the faculty members are easily approachable for academic as well as research-related queries. Professors and assistant professors maintain a good relationship with students, and they are always ready to guide us both inside and outside the classroom. Regular doubt sessions, mentoring, and project guidance make the interaction healthy and beneficial. Among the faculty, some professors are highly appreciated for their teaching methodology, clarity of concepts, and student-friendly approach. They emphasize practical understanding and encourage students to take part in research projects, hackathons, and industrial training. Faculty members in core branches like CSE, ECE, Mechanical, and Electrical are especially known for their deep knowledge and updated teaching style. There are, of course, some faculty members whose teaching style is more traditional, relying heavily on theoretical explanations and less on practical exposure, which sometimes makes it difficult to connect with the subject. However, overall, the majority of the teaching staff are supportive and approachable. The examination system at NIT Kurukshetra follows a semester pattern with mid-semester and end-semester exams, along with continuous assessment through assignments, quizzes, and lab work.
Night Life
Night life is good we can roam anywhere , the library closed at 3pm at night , there is many cafeterias , gym . Most hangout places are outside this campus like brahmsarover and many temples . Yes it is safe to roam around at night
