Nit kkr: one of the best nit in North India

I am studying Ece here in nit kkr. I saw the curriculum of ece for btech students in nit kkr. It cover almost all important core subjects that are needed for job in ece industry. They are according to industry needs and updated. But practical way of teaching is must for more needed for better understanding.

Almost all big companies comes for internships like JP Morgan, well Fargo, amazon, cadence , accenture etc. Average stipend offered is like 40-50k. Mostly companies visit for software intern and some core engineering intern roles also.

From 7th semester students still for placements. Almost all major recruiters visit our campus like amazon, google, meesho, flipkart, JP Morgan , de shaw, wells Fargo, accenture, ibm, hsbc, nab, ey, amdocs, United airlines, sap labs, icici bank, tata , samsung, infosys, etc. almost 80-85% batch got placed in 2025 with avg. Package of 13-14 lpa. Highest package was 60-65 lpa approx. I want to pursue software job after my btech.

Total yearly fees is approximately 1.5 lakhs. Which comes total 6-7 lakhs for 4 year btech course for general category. Apart from this income fee waiver is also available in nit kkr.sc st students fees is 100% free.

Two fests occurs every year. Techspardha and confluence. Techspardha is technical fest of college. And confluence is cultural fest of our college. Our library has large collection of books around 2-3 lakh books. All sports facilities available in campus itself. Various clubs, societies are also available in college.

Hostels are assigned randomly basis. In first year triple seater, 2nd year onwards single seater room is assigned to students. Hostels room has all basic facilities like table , chair, almirah , balcony

Admissions occurs on basis of jossa and csab counselling through jee mains exam. I choose this collge because it is one of the best nit in North India. I don't want to go very distant college. That is why I preferred nit kkr over other nits and also placements are pretty good here compared to other colleges that I was getting on my rank.

Faculty to student ratio is approx 1:5. Faculties are highly qualified and their behaviours is really good with students. Their way of teaching is amazing and there knowledge is really good in respective domain.there are three exams mid sem 1&2 each of 15 marks. And an end sem exam 50 marks. Rest 10 marks attendence and 10 marks teacher internal evaluation.

Our college has hostel gym and sports ground gym as well. Both are well equipped.hotels timings are 10pm for boys and 8:30pm for girls. There are alot of places to hangout like ae lawns, nit lake, ground, nit market, senate hall, mokshi etc.
