Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the curriculum 4/5. The AI/ML subjects and practical exposure were the main reasons I chose this course. The curriculum is relevant for future jobs and higher studies, but more industry-based projects and practical teaching could be added. Exams are conducted through internals, mid-semester and end-semester exams and are generally moderate in difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities through its placement cell and industry connections. Students can find internships in areas like AI/ML, software development, data science, and web development. Roles and stipends depend on the company and student skills. Students also get opportunities to work on real-world projects, which help improve practical knowledge and build their resumes.
Placement Experience
Placements are available from the final year, and students generally become eligible from the 7th semester. Companies from IT, software and management sectors visit the campus. Placement opportunities are decent, with packages varying according to the company and student skills. I plan to build strong technical skills through internships and projects and aim for a good job in the AI/ML field after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am pursuing B.Tech in AI & ML at Amity University Gurugram. The yearly academic fee is approximately ₹2,34,000, making the total course fee around ₹9,36,000 for 4 years. The fee may increase slightly depending on the batch/year. Additional charges such as registration, examination, lab and other university fees may apply. Scholarships are available based on academic merit and other eligibility criteria, including merit-based scholarships and merit-cum-need financial assistance.
Campus Life
Campus life is enjoyable, with a good balance of academics and social activities. The college has a good library, modern classrooms, sports facilities, and various clubs and events. Overall, it provides a good environment to learn, interact, and develop new skills.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel provides basic facilities such as furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, security, housekeeping, and common areas. The mess provides regular meals with a variety of options, though the food quality is average. The hostel registration process is simple, and the cost is reasonable considering the facilities provided. Overall, the hostel is comfortable and convenient for students.
Admission
I chose Amity University Gurugram because of its good campus, facilities, location, and AI/ML-focused course. I also considered other colleges, but Amity offered a better overall combination of academics and opportunities. The admission process was simple and included application, document verification, and an admission/selection process. For B.Tech, students can apply based on their Class 12 eligibility and accepted entrance-exam criteria. Overall, the admission experience was smooth and convenient.
Faculty
The faculty members are generally supportive and approachable, with a good faculty-to-student ratio. Most teachers are helpful with doubts and maintain a friendly relationship with students. The course structure is well planned and includes both theoretical and practical subjects. Exams usually include internal assessments, mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. The difficulty level is moderate, and regular preparation is enough to clear them. The marking scheme includes assignments, attendance, practicals, internal tests and end-semester examinations. Overall, the curriculum is relevant to AI & ML and provides a good balance of technical and practical learning. I have not faced any major issues with the faculty or examination system.
Night Life
Nightlife around the campus is fairly calm. The gym, cafeterias, library and common areas usually close in the evening, while hostel timings are more flexible for residents. Students usually relax in hostel common areas, cafeterias, or nearby markets and cafés. The area around the campus is generally safe, but students should still avoid roaming alone very late at night.
