Rabindrabharati University a tree growing with strong roots

Its a very old university teaching & building new generation for decades,with two campuses its provides almost all the facility a educational institute should provide, though the university is little bit politically biased but at the end of the day everyone gets along and get the things done

Rabindrabharati University is the only State University in West Bengal that offer degree courses in fine arts like dance ,drama,vocal ,instrumental & also subjects of visual arts such as painting sculpture etc.the exam structure is semester system where we had 6 semester for three years for graduation & 4 semester for 2 years in post graduation

There is no placement cell in Rabindrabharati University,but does provide internship in the respective department of the students after post graduation based on merit.there is a minimum stipend of 7000 approximately for the students doing m.phil and 15000 approximatelyfor the students joining as guest lecturer.The seniors are helpful & helps through the internship,as for job opportunities the students of fine arts and visual arts are musicians or artist & less interested in a 9-5 job

Basanta utsav- it is one of the largest college festivals in West Bengal in the occasion of holi visited by thousands of people including students ,ex students & outsiders Baishe Shrabon- celebrated on the occasion of the death anniversary of tagore where students perform in various cultural events from 6am to 9pm Annual fest- its a 3 day long festival happens annually where there are events ranging from classical music programs to dj night

As a government university the fee structure is feasible.The fees are to be submitted before each semester nd at the time of enrollment for the next year.The fees ranges from 1400 for enrollment approximately & 700 as examination fees

All the scholarship schemes funded by the West Bengal govt are available in this university i.e Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means scholarship,Kanyashree,etc.There are no independent scholarship or loan facility provided by the university

as extracurricular activities there are common rooms filled with games & other fun things to do in each of the three buildings of arts ,fine arts & visual arts,there is a independent sports department in our university which hosts annual sports every year.As the subjects of fine arts & visual arts are mostly practical oriented so the the labs are well featured nd well maintained with instruments for each student and the labs are always open for the students to practice.

No I personally did not opted for a hostel but there are hostel infrastructure for foreign students.Its based on first apply first serve basis & the needs of the students are also kept in mind ,the hostel infrastructure is within the college campus

there is union of students present in our college which helps the new students with their admission nd always helps in case of any disputes nd trouble they are also responsible for arranging most of the festivals and events

The first step is to apply online filling out the regular details.Then appear for the written entrance exam test & a practical entrance test or interview for the students applying for subjects related to fine arts & visual arts.After a few days the merit list will be published

Rabindrabharati University has a long history of recruiting the best faculty in their respective fields,many eminent artist of west bengal have been the faculty & this tradition is going on still now,as i am student of fine arts i ve received classes of many maestros & learned musician in our music field
