Course Curriculum Overview

3

•In this college I took admission in B.Sc in chemistry course in 2024.This college is one of the finest colleges in the entire Kamrup (rural) district for normal graduation in the pure science field. The Chemistry and Physics branch of this college is very good. After completing this course, we get admission in top universities of India by giving different post graduation entrance in future. After that, after clearing UGC NET and CSIR NET, you can apply for Assistant Professor and can also apply for different companies. There are different exams for this course in our college, first there is an online quiz for internal marks, after that there is a seasonal exam, at last there is a practical exam, viva and university semester exam occure.

Internships Opportunities

3

This is a normal pure science based college and the placement ratio is negligible. But 4th semester students are given internship in summer vacation, they are taken to many companies and schools/colleges to learn the work.

Fees and Financial Aid

•Per year Admission fees-7500/science •Per semester fees-1740 for Registration •Per year Admission fees-6500/Arts •Scholarship for Girls 1st semester and 3rd semester -Nijut Moina Asoni •Scholarship for Boys & Girls 1st semester students- Ishan uday scholarship •Scholarship for Obc students- Obc scholarship

Campus Life

3

College campus is very beautiful.Annual festival is organized every year in our college. Along with that, elections are also held in the college for student union members. The library is also very good, there are more than 50000 books available, there are also competitive exam oriented books for SSC, Railway, CAT exam. Along with this there is a separate place for daily newspapers as well.Assamese and English newspapers are available, along with that there is also a monthly Assamese magazine .

Admission

Apart from this college, I had also applied to Cotton College, Dibrugarh University but was not selected due to high cut off. My cutoff in Cotton was 91 percent and the cutoff for General category was 92 percent. If I did not get any result anywhere then I took admission in this college only.Admission in our college is done on 2 basis, one on the basis of class 12 marks and the other on the basis of cuet exam. And those taking admission on both the basis have to do online registration through Samarth website, after which admission is done in the college as per the merit list. Those who do not get it, they should get spot admission in the last minute if the seat remains vacant. The cutoff for science stream is more than 60%, the cutoff for general caste students in botany and zoology departments is more than 75%.Rest of the arts students get admission even with 50% marks.

Faculty

4

The ratio of teachers to students in our college is good. The interaction of teachers with students is also very good. Those people teach us tough things very easily. I like 2-3 teachers very much. One sir's name is Deepak Konwar, he is the head of the Botany department now. Along with teaching, he also gives life lessons and talks about career scope.Apart from that there is another sir named Thiophil Inbun sir, he teaches us organic chemistry, he teaches it very well.

Interview Experience

4

There is no interview at the time of admission in our college. But at the time of internal exam, there is a practical exam in a group, after which there is a group interview and viva of 3-4 students together.Where they ask questions related to that subject and marks are given on that basis in the final exam.

Night Life

3

The college also has a stadium for indoor games, badminton can be played there, there is also gym facility.Mostly all this remains open during the day, to go at night you have to take permission from a different person .The library is open only during college hours, 9 am to 5 pm,But in your extra time you can go to any library and read it.
