Likes
- Shiv Nadar University has great infrastructure, very well educated professors(specially from iit's and top colleges), great mess food and a huge sports complex
- SNU offers wide variety of students from each part of the country, we have also some students which are from other countries which make an enviourment full of joy and calmness.
- SNU's Sports facilities is one of the best thing i had liked about. It provides training of almost each and every sports which is available in the premises.
Dislikes
- Less crowd as per the area of the college, around 2000 students are in the college for a 285 acres vast campus like university
- Minimum Shops inside college premisis, around 3-4 shops inside college, I think which is not good as per the college size.
- Can improve medical facility as per the college infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is preety good. Professors provide notes and also give a good knowledge about their particular courses. The difficulty level of exams could be sometime lies between easy to moderate and sometimes may be lies between moderate to hard level as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
I pursued my B.Tech from Shiv Nadar University in Electronics and Communication Engineering. My overall fee structure was around 16.8 lacs, In the initial year my fees was around 4.70 lacs which includes 25K security deposit(refundable) and 25k admission fees and rest 3 years my fees was around 4.20 lacs. There are many scholarships available in SNU, based on your JEE score and 12th score as well. If you talk about JEE Scholarship, you can get upto 50-80% of scholarship and on 12th basis your parents anual salary should be in a particular range.
Campus Life
At SNU, there are various clubs ( may be social and sports) and events like Breeze( Annual sports fest) which are likely to be held once in a year and there are sports fest as well which likely to be held in september-october in which many other colleges participate and we have a tough fight. The Classrooms are fully smart having multiple screen,projectors and ac's.
Admission
Since i have applied for some other colleges as well. These coleeges include VIT, MIT, and many other private colleges but I had deeply studied about SNU about its intake, placements, great professors and A+ infrastructure. I thought having 2000 students in a single bransh in colleges like VIT, MIT, I could go with a college having 400-500 Studnets in complete B.tech.
Faculty
College faculty is pretty good as per their experiences. There were 2 times exams happened: one is mid term and the second is end term exam and also in between there may be some quizes which also take important part in an individual grades.
Interview Experience
Yes, we have to clear an exam called SNUSAT to be a part of SNU or we can directly apply through our JEE scores. I had given SNUSAT and i score preety good score and got ECE branch. There was nothing like interview or any groupdiscussion like thing happened during the process. I prepared well for 12th boards and got selected in SNU. you have to be very accurate while giving SNUSAT.
Night Life
At SNU, we have a curfew after 9pm, 8pm could be the last when we get permission to go out. we have multiple hostels some of them are fully ac's hostel and some are partially. We can also opt for non ac's rooms (seprate hostels)
