Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rate course curriculum as not satisfactory because we are loaded with so many core courses in first two years of the college which were meant to provide the basics of the history and then in next two years we are given electives to choose from which I find useful. I would suggest at least to give one more semester for comprehending the basics of the history.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't paid any fees so far. I am given financial aid by the univerisity which i reserved for students studied in Vidyagyan School. There are many types of scholarship provides by the college. Some of which includes merit based scholarship, Rural based scholarship and also scholorship exclusive for students coming from the schoold like Eklavya school, Navodaya, Vidyagyan school etc.

Campus Life

5

I really enjoy the campus life in this college. I have all the accessibility to the new books and journal in library. The classrooms are updatess on the basis of new technology every year. I like the smart classrooms I am studying currently. I wish to study here in future also in case I am selected for my postgraduate programs here.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are options of single and twin room sharing with AC and Non AC being provided by the college. I personally enjoyed the single AC room given by the college from my 2nd year to 4th year. The quality of meal can't be good sometimes leading problems to the students. I would say food during snacks in much better than the regular meals.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleg like Rishihood university which I had appplied for because it was given a good feedback by my seniors friends in terms of developing leaderships skills by giving full freedom to grow and learn here. I had applied for Ashoka University and I was rejected by that in the exams that I had given.

Faculty

4

There are over 10 professors with arounnd 40-45 students in my course under humanities and social science department. Talking about my relationship with professor which is really good because they are mostly accessible to me all the times I needed them. I dislike Sudeshna Guha becasue she graded me very badly in 2nd semester and I was unable to understand her feedback very clearly. There are two exams for mid term and end term exams types. They are mostly easy only if you have attended proper classes and have noted down the points.

Interview Experience

4

I had appeared for written test and interview by the college in which I was interviewed by two professor on my understanding of Historry. I was questioned about which period of history I like the most and why? I was asked to write essays and genral knowledge question for SNUSAT exams. I have prepared for them thought the websites on google.

Night Life

5

The nightlife of the college is really beautiful with lighting around and midnight meal being served to you in Dining hall. But there are certain places with minimum lights especially on the roads backside 5th cluster. Therefore that place is more prone to accidents of animals and birds there. There is security provided mostly at all the places. I love cycling from 5th cluster to botanical garder during nights with my friends chattering about there problems and laughing on it.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.
