Course Curriculum Overview

4

The syllabus is changed previous year for new students the syllabus is really great not like ours.we had a rough first year syllabus as we learned too much unwanted things. As a CS student I even learned to welding and planning how to build a house.I think the new syllabus is really great.

Internships Opportunities

3

Again I don't the college offer any internships we need to look it for ourselves and it's pretty easy. Majority of students do interships there selves so college doesn't have that huge part in that.Although the faculty supports as in that part.

Placement Experience

5

One thing about this college is it's placement.Even the locals of the area says you will get a job for studying here. You don't need to be a clever high cgpa student to get good placement.even for a normal student with some average cgpa and no backlogs can get a placement easily.the lowest package is around 4.8Lpa while highest is 12Lpa.We got a very good training and placement cell that assist as.More than 30 Companies visit the college like TCS,wipro, Federal Bank, Infosys etc

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is as follows,45k per year for merit students 75k per year for management students and above 1L per year for NRI students and free for SC/ST categories students.Main thing is there is another category named TFW which is given to economically backward students for them the fee is dropped.

Campus Life

3

It's an IHRD college so obviously the infrastructure structure is limited but still it's okey. And main things it is located at the middle of town so area is limited too but recently the college approved to extend the infrastructure for worth 2cr.The ground is too small as we can't even play anything at all there.Have a good volleyball and basketball court. The college life is okey.we have ethnic day that's cool.Arts day is ok.we have two type of sports event which is really great.

Admission

I primarily choosed this college because it is close to me so I don't have to opt for hostel as hostel doesn't work for me.And I heard alot about our college because it's the best in Alappuzha. There are more than 3 Engineering colleges in Chengannur and this is the best.

Faculty

4

Faculties are really great not gonna lie, they are really supportive.Half of the teachers are not permenent so they go with our vibes.Even permenent teachers are nice to as.We get good freedom in our campus no worries in that.we have 2 internal exams per semester. Its marks are important as it is used for our internal marks.

Night Life

3

I can't say there is any nightlife in our college especially for girls...there hostels are too strict they won't let you out after 6pm but you can play sports inside the college at night and since the college is located middle of town we can roam around the town at night,it's a nice town. The canteen is yaa not that great food is average. We have a Gym i don't know if anyone even use it.We got a nice bandroom and since a very strong college band and the library is huge we can get every study materials there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
