Remarks

The college was very excellent in terms of academics, and all cultural activities and training students in a professional manner.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was based to train the students in a professional manner. We were given industrial visit to fablab cochin, and trivandrum. Also they gave trainings to attend placement which was helpful for attending campus drives. This has helped students to improve language and problem solving ability skills.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 65000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement of my college was very good based on the company's profile. Also lots of recruitments were taking place.

College Events

Arts festival, Sports, Tech fest, Arts festival is for 3days. we had lots of group. All of the students are active in volunteering, and participating in programs. Sports was also one of the major events. And all students were active. Tech fest is a major event were students can show there professional skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The program fee for our branch was 65000 per year. we had some other extra fees like sports and other charges like aluminium fund and all. we had to give some amount to Pta also. those were mandatory fees required for all branches. Those amount were paid back once we got passed out from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didnt avail any scolarship but some students had the opportunity to avail which was based on the entrance score.

Campus Life

Campus life was having lot of good memories which were colorful. We had lot of friends. we spend good memories in college bu going for trip, movies and all. We had almost 2 trips from college which we enjoyed lot. cultural festivals helped us to show our talents in stage.

Hostel Facilities

No I was a day scholar. I used to travel by college bus. I stayed in hostel 1 or 2 times during exam for combined study and dance practice. It was a great time to spend Time with friends. Almost 1000 students are staying in hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students was also helpful in guiding us and celebrating all events in college. Without them college life is incomplete.

Admission

Admission was given on the basis of entrance rank list. If the rank list was below 10000 merit seat was given. It depends on the number of people applying for specific branch. If the entrance ranklist was above 10000 management option can be availed. Nri seat is there for which the fee is higher.

Faculty

Faculty of the college was very good in terms of education, and teaching quality. They guide us in proper way to make the students groom in a professional way. This has helped us to learn inan easier way. Also we got help from them to complete projects.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

There are a lot of assignment often for the students

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

Firstly I had applied for numerous colleges ranking from college of engineering Trivandrum to Rajahiri college, even though my KEAM rank was around 13k I did not have the scope of getting into ourely government colleges, then was the possibility of going into IHRD colleges and least ranked government colleges and the private colleges, but studying for 12 years in a private college made me think otherwise, then I had the option of the IHRD and least cutoff ranked government colleges, during my first allotment I got intro this college but under electronics department later during the second allotment it changed to computer science department and same suring the third allotment, this college is about two hours away from my hometown, and reachable by train, the other factors were this college was highly recommended by my cousin aunt who is a professor in model engineering college Thrikkakara....Read More

Excellent place for your future journey

Since I don't attend the Keam exam I opt to have an NRI quota.. For NRI Quota there's some process you have to submit the details of the sponsor and your marks in plus2 like physics chemistry marks should be a minimum of 75%..In a class, only 4 NRI quota is allowed..There was no any other counseling the four-person with selected criteria will have the admission based on marks.. if there is another guy they will be in the waiting list.At the age of 18 started Carrier in this college...Read More
