Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the curriculum 8/10 in terms of both relevance and comprehensiveness. The curriculum is well designed in terms of covering both theoretical and practical knowledge. Also it is helpful in building core subject expertise.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee at SVPCET Nagpur is around Rs.132450/- for the first year which includes tuition fees, development fees ,caution deposit, etc. Fees have been increasing slightly each year. Government scolarships are accepted by the college.
Campus Life
Campus life at SVPCET is quite good. The college hosts Technical 'Technex' and Cultural fest 'Insight' on an annual basis. Though there are not much fun events organised by the college as there are in other colleges, yet still the overall college life is quite enriching. There are various clubs and activities conducted in all departments for the overall growth of the students. The college provides very good facilities and also there are technological provisions in the classrooms.
Admission
I chose this college for its dicplined culture, experienced faculty, good placement support and also because I got my preferred branch. Though I missed other colleges due to cuttoffs. The admission process is very smooth and well organiswd through JEE/CET.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is fairly balanced. Most faculty members are approachable and willing to help outside classrooms. There are 2 exams one is the midsem and another is the endsem exam in each semester. In addition assignments, lab work and practicals account for the internals.
Interview Experience
No group discussion , no interview or test is required. Admission purely based on Merit scores of JEE/CET. Admission is trough CAP rounds. The admission process at SVPCET is quite smooth and well conducted.
Night Life
After classes students usually unwind at the cafeteria, or the the Multifacility Centre(MFC), or the open ground. These are all at walking distance from the blocks. Also there is no concept such as the nightlife as only students living on-campus i.e hostelites are allowed to stay until late in the evening.
