Course Curriculum Overview

I took Aerospace Engineering so I took it without having any idea and the course curriculumn made me fall in love with the course over time. Every subject branched out to the different parts of the aerospace industry and really helped us gain theoretical knowledge. We had lab classes as well where we got hands on experience on different equipment.

Class Size: 93Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees depends on how you do in the entrance exam. According to your rank, there are fee slabs, the higher slab the higher fee payment. If your CGPA decreases after joining your fee slab increases meaning you will have to pay. Management fees are set and won't change.

Campus Life

The campus has a vareity of clubs but are not that active. Many clubs include dance club, singing club, the literary club and many minute tech clubs. We have 3 major fests every year, Amritotsavam, Anokha, and Gokulshtami. There are a variety of sports being played too.

Admission

It is one of the few colleges that offer aerospace engineering as a course for an undergraduate program. I had applied to other colleges throughout India but none offered the course and/or have excessively large fee structure. I had not gotten into any of the IITs so this is the perfect second option because the standards are the same. This college also has a tie-up with reputable foreign universities who offer foreign exchange opportunities.

Faculty

Faculty members were all experienced, graduated from IITs and hold PHDs. Exams were conducted in the middle of the terms and af the end. We were graded on a 60-40 basis. As in the internsal exam marks + internal assesment marks were 60% and the end of the semester exam holds 40%. Internal Assesments include assignements, quizzes, presenations or viva. Faculties are very approachable and always read to help.

Night Life

There are 3 canteens which are the hub during the evening time. The university itself is beautiful and peaceful to walk around in. Hostel timings vary for girls and boys but are reasonable. During weekends, we go out of campus.

A decent university

I applied to many colleges like Thapar College, Manipal College, VIT, and LPU and others. I got selected from many colleges, but I chose this college because of its ranking as it ranked 4th best university and 1st in the best private university. This was the only reason for the selection. Now it is also the 7th best university in india and 2nd in private universities. I only got rejected from the Manipal College of Engineering, and they didn't mention the reason for the rejection, but I assume the entrance exam was not so good for me. I rejected other colleges because I find Amrita University better than others. There are many ways to get admission, like from JEE mains or advanced and Amrita's own exam, AEEE. I actually got into the university through management seat which is the fourth slot . I didn't get selected through their exams . I was in some 17 k rank . So I didn't make it through the exams . I'm paying 6 lakhs per year . And I think they have some policy of giving Hindus the majority of admission which is somewhat not right . That is the one thing they could improve.
