Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is not good. There are so many useless subjects like workshops where the literally make u labour there is no need of such kind of things and the labs like physics lab and environmental sciences lab they are just useless they should not be the part of course curriculum

Internships Opportunities

1

There are not much opportunities for internships in our college we can apply from internship off campus but there are some companies that come for internship for example texas instruments and microsoft

Placement Experience

4

There are good placements in our college and so many good companies like microsoft and google come in our college. But there are not much placements for the students of lower branches. There is 100 percent placement for mechanical brnach

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is constant throughtoutbthe fours year only you have to give extra 10000 as caution money in the first semester. You have to give 88000 as tution fee and 25000 as mess fees per semester and there is relaxation for other categories like ST do not have to give any tution fee at all.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure in our college is very good the festivals are good enough. The seniors are good they always support u. Some classrooms are good and some are bad. There are various clubs. Overall the campus life is good

Hostel Facilities

3

The rooms in my hostel are in good condition. 4 people live in one room the hostel menu is pretty good but the food do not meet the expectations. The registration process for hostel accommodation is smooth

Admission

The main point of taking this college is that this college has branch change means we can change the branch if we want and if we have enough cgpa. And also the placements of this college is good. I applied for various colleges

Faculty

5

Faculty and student relationship is pretty good. Some faculties are very strict while other facilities and kind hearted. Some of the faculties are very educated and intelligent for example lalatendu sir. The exams here are pretty difficult there are mid sem and end sem and quizzes throughout the sem.

Night Life

4

There are gym facilities in our campus and we can go to the gym early in the morning only. The hostel in timing is 10 pm and we have to come back to hostel before that time. We can hangout with friends anytime before 10

From 6th semester everyone starts looking for internships and also start applying for the off campus placements and on campus placements begin in 7th semester. Companies like Amazon, Rubrix, Paytm, Delloite etc. visit the campus and depending on the profile provides a certain package.About 98% students get placed in elections and computer related branches.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the second to last year of their studies. Many companies do visit, though several are based in Punjab or nearby areas. Average package is 3-4 lakhs per anum. 20% get placed while the rest dont really opt for it. Rather, they try to get jobs on their own or though internship which also has good scopes in cities like Delhi. The remaining students go for higher studies. My plan is to pursue higher studies abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not very useful in my views. Except for English none of them are up to date. For example in computing course, we study c language instead of cpp. Also in maths, the calculus is the topic and in exams marks are alloted on the basis of well one wrote in the sheet and it isn't the best method to calculate answer.

Placement Experience:

Like I already told, this college is best to get placement and I guess it is known mainly for the placements. The thing here is, they have joint placement drive along with 2 other campus of cgc. Faculty provide extensive training to crack placement exams and interviews. There are companies with packages from 28-30LPA to companies with package of 3LPA. All depends on how well you perform and what level of knowledge you have. Placement process: 1. Fill placement form online if interested in a company. 2. Online exam - AMCAT or custom exam - Aptitude, English, Technical MCQs and 1-3 Programming question. 3. Interview. Some companies have multiple interview rounds, e.g. 2 technical interview +1 HR interview. This is the basic placement flow. Some companies offers just internship but based on the performance in intership period they will hire you as full time employee.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the mechanical branch as i am interested in how machines and all work. The faculty to student ratio is like 1:35. The faculty is nice and knowledgeable and has proper knowledge about their respective fields. The teaching method is quite good. The exams are done regularly in 1-month gap and to pass the exam, studying is needed.
