Remarks

Asutosh College is the best college of KOLKATA as far as i am concerned.in all departments they are ahead of the others.in sports they have a shooter called Jaydeep Karmakar who won gold medals in different events.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

exam structure was 1+1+1.a exam was held after each year in the 3years course.lncluding both theory and practical. we are alloted seats in different colleges during the exam to avoid partialty of the home college teachers over home students.

Placement Experience

4

Yes our college opened their another campus in bhasa where nowadays companies like Cognizant LNT Webel arecoming to hire students to get a placement.in our times technologies were not developed fully .

College Events

5

Rabindra Jayanti, Teachers Day, Saraswati Puja, Annual Functions were the main events we used to take part with full enthusiasm We ParticipTed in Drama, Quiz ,Song Poems over the stage.used to decorate the place before the function took place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fees structure is feasible 1000per month and if u have fellowships or if u represent from a backwRd class the entire fees was considered as zero those days which was very effective for poor students or a middle class background.

Fees and Financial Aid

i didnt opted for any scholarship yes i got various prizes after getting 1st and 2nd for two consecutive years it was very nice and even more precious than scholarship or any format of money.those are the momentoes collected by me which are unsaleable.

Campus Life

5

The laboratory was full with all equipment with all acess over all instruments and materials as well as internet.we used to wear approns before entering the laboratories. wash hand with ethanol so that our hand remain sterile which was necessary for any plant culture and experiments we did.

Hostel Facilities

5

No I didnt opted for hostel facility although it was very cheap rs 1000per month and u can live bedside the college attend the class regularly anytime u can study in your own room .the food quality was also very high . There were exchange of books between the hostels students so one can get accesss to huge collection of books at the same time by spending no money the entire infrastructure you get is free if u visit the hostels not necessarily u have to live there.

Alumni/Alumna

seniors are very helpful they helped us in all the way they could .i got books cds dvds pendrive notes and study materials labnotebook intruments techinical help from them in lots of ways.they also provided us with foods sometime.love we got can not be forgotten

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
