Course Curriculum Overview

5

Currriculum is kept upto date and is very good regarding computer science. With various optional courses that can also improve you by a very big margin in that category. The curriculuim is also very fun and useful and is much better than other colleges.

Internships Opportunities

4

As of now I have not applied for any internships and I have mentioned everything about internships earlier, you can go through that. but a few students have recived internships because of their work in the first year itself.

Placement Experience

4

The Placements haven't started yet as no batch has reached that stage but Interships have happened to my knowledge, companiwes like e dukaan have visited our college for internships, I woulp probably try to get a job after getting the degree and aim to improve myself in that region of cs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I would be paying approximately 4 Lakhs every year for tuition, 75000 for Admission fees, 1 lakh per year for the BITS degree, and another 1 Lakh per year for hostel. There are scolarships which will be provided to you if you perform well in NSET, and will coutinue over the years if yuo perform well in exams.

Campus Life

4

We have had a few events that have happened for example we had a Scaler x Zerodha even and before that we had inSSTpire week where a lot of sports and cultural events took place. we have few books that are available in the college library regrding self help and programming. The college also has a great peer group. Although sporting activites are a bit limited, but i can see them improving in the near future.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facilities are pretty good and the mess food has gotten better due to the food comittee. The wifi has been a persistent issue butr that is the only issue which i have faced any others that I have faced have been sorted quickly.

Admission

I Applied for MIT, VIT, Amritha and BITS. I also wrote both JEE Main and Advanced burt didn't apply for JOSAA. I got Accepeted in MIT, VIT, Amritha and chose scaler over these because of the updated curriculum it has. I was rejected from BITS as I didn't score well enough. To get Admission in Scaler you have to go through and clear NSET and then yopu will have to go through Interview rounds.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is 1:220. Our DSA Faculty is very strict and is one of the best Teachers I have ever seen. Our Web Development Facult is one of the sweetest and the most helpful teachers out there who will guide you through every part of web development. We an Exam almost every month, which is easy to go through if you are listening to the classes.

Interview Experience

4

Interview questions were regarding lernability and aptitude which can be completed through the NSET Prepkit uploaded via Scaler itslef, the test questions were math and aptitude as well as lernability which again can be done via NSET PrepKit

Night Life

4

The Nightlife is pretty average and the terrace is a very popular spot to hang around as we can leave the college after 10:30. But we do get health benefit and a permanent cult membersship for the next four years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
