Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is one of the highlight for choosing SST. Curriculum keeps updating to stay relevant in tech-feild. It is preparing every student for working on real world issues. For us, We give 12 exams in 10 months as we are pursuing degree from BITS also.

Internships Opportunities

5

We got a lot of chances to do internships in big MNCs such as microsoft, swiggy, zomato etc. Their is Scaler Innovation Lab where we can build our own product and gets guidance from industry experts also .

Placement Experience

5

Currently, Our seniors are getting good internship placement support. Companies are coming on campus for giving internship and I believe same will happen at the time of placements. Almost 95% seniors got intership with average stipend of 25,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Year-wise fees is not same for all four years. After including all fees, it costs aroud 6,00,000 (including hostel and mess also) 2. Tuition fees ranges from 3,34,000 to 4,84,000 , admission fees is 50,000 and Caution fees is 10,000 3. There is no reservation policies for admission and fees. 4. SST offers various scholarships such as Merit-Based Scholarship, Need-Based Scholarship, Brightest Mind Scholarship, Women Tech Scholarship, etc. Need-Based scholarship given to students with annual financial income less than 5,00,000

Campus Life

4

As SST is new college, but it starts building the community. From this year, there are lots of In-house competations and also small fests are happening. Now about books and journals, there are good amount of books in library also we can suggest them they will arrange it.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is very good. We get cafeteria area to cook, fridge, microwave oven for cooking our food. One can expect all basic facilities available in the hostel. Their is room of improvement in Mess but SST trying their best to improve them.

Admission

I have applied for many NIT's, IIIT's and Top colleges in Maharashtra. I choose SST due to the quality of peer groups and curriculum which is different than other colleges. Admission process for SST is very simple, we have to write NSET exam and if you have selected then there are 2-3 rounds of personal interviews. Selection ratio is ~ 3.5% .

Faculty

5

1. Faculties are very friendly and approachable. They listen us and advice us. 2. As each and everyone from Scaler team is exeptional, I love all the teachers. 3. There are lots of exams happen here almost one exam per month, sometimes we have two exams also. 4. Exam are not too easy nor too difficult but sometimes DSA's exam is tough.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, We have to pass 2-3 personal interviews before getting admission in SST. After clearing NSET Exam, we get mail for interviews. SST gives you the syllabus and resources for preparing to clear NSET and interview

Night Life

4

Campus closes at 9:30 PM and Hostel main gate closes at 10:30 PM. As we are in Electronic city, It is very safe to roam around. About gym, we have pass of Cult fitness which is approx. 1.2 km from Hostel. As most of the hangout happens in micro campus(Hostel) only as it is design very well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
