About NIT Meghalaya

The institute is very good. It gives us the best facility and the atmosphere of the institute is very good, the teacher are very good, Labs in our institute is very good location of the institute is very good overall the institute is awesome.

Now a days M.Sc in NITs is very popular, The course curriculum is very helpful for us, Because in the 1st and 2nd semester is the recapitulate of B.Sc syllabus and obviously you get some new chapter because ultimately it is M.Sc, And the course curriculum cover the syllabus of NET/GATE/SET Eaxm. In the last two semester you have a project work that will help you a lot for further studies.The Eaxm structure is the semester type exam. In two year M.Sc you will face four semesters.

During the Course, In the last semester many companies came for the placement but so far I know our NITs students did not join any company because maximum student tried for Phd. Our teachers help us a lot for doings internship in others IIT and IISER, And our institute also offered the summer internship every years for others students.

Fees structure is feasible. The fees structure as per the central government rule. And there will be a discount as per the central government rule for sc and st students. I am the student in the academic year 2018-2020 and Not so much money required because ultimately it is a central government institutions.

The semester topper get the scholarship from the college and as per the central government rule college help the students for getting the loan facility from the bank. It helps the many students for doing any kind of course.

Many type of extracurricular activities happen in the nit Meghalaya. Our chemistry lab is very good. There have the two type of laboratory is present one for the phd student and another lab for the M.Sc students. Labs are good , in the laboratory many instruments are present and enough for a M.Sc student.

The hostel rate is not so much per day 85 rupees (morning breakfast+Lunch+Dinner) and in Meghalaya per day 85 rupees is very less, the hostel infrastructure is very good in every hostel they have gaming instruments, gym facility. And in every hostel they have common room and a T.V. so hostel infrastructure is very good. Quality of food is also good.

The alumni network is very good, every last semester the alumni department arranged a farewell program for the outgoing students and they give the memorable things. Senior students in M.Sc are very good they helped a very much and they don't do any Ragging kind of things.

First of all you have to crack the IIT JAM (JOINT ADMISSION FOR M.Sc) exam, then there will be a three round counselling procedure Through their website (CCMN). Through this process if you gat a sit then you will get any nit amongst the 29 nits around in India.

The faculty of our Department is awesome. They are the best in their own subject and all faculty completed their P.hd in IITs and IISC Bangalore. They helped us all time and our teachers motivated us for cracking the NET AND GATE Exam.
