Exploring NIT Meghalaya

our coure curriculum is very relevant for us but this year in our 1st semester they introduced a new subject Biology for Engineers ...which i didn't found usefull rather we studied biology ..being an engineer..and it was higher biology...that syllabus was also not included in the NEET syllabus.

There are much internship opportunities for students of every year and every course.top REcruiters include microsoft , infosys , amazon,tata,flipkart etc. which provied us internships during our breaks in summer and winter and also during 3rd year and 4th year with proper training.

IN my institute the placements for mechaical department is very good .The overall average package is 12 lack per annum . And highest package this year was 55 LPA for CSE but it was off campus placement.The average package for CSE department is around 15 lacks per annum.

The tuition fees for every course of B Tech is 62500 rupees and if you opt for hostels and mess then 30500 for mess advance and 7500 for hostel seat rent. 1000 rupees for wi-fi and 1500 for electricity charges.first time you have to pay around 10000 extra as caution money but they will be refunded.these all payments are for one semester only.these will be same for all semesters and there is no increase in fees.SC/ST are gives full fee waiver and GEN-EWS are also waived on the basis of their household annual income.fee This scholarship is applicable only on tuition fees not hostel and mess fees.

Our campus life is very cool in this NIT Meghalaya with the very beautiful green environment full of clouds. Infrastructure provided to us is very good with all facilities including big badminton court and play grounds for every physical sport.

Hostel facilty is excellent compared to our expectations in an govenment institute. It is well equiped with high speed internet and best bathrooms ever with geyser euipped for winter season.In room facilities are very good with high spped fan and multiple tubelights .

I gave preference to brach over college but my institute NIT meghalaya is very good in terms of anything we could expect.It provides us a lot of extra curricular activities which helps us in improving our specific skills.

Faculty members are very cool minded and are highly experienced PH.D graduates from top IIT's and NIT's.Our course is running on the latest NEP policy.Relative grading is done in the exams. we have a mid term ,end term and one class test before each mid and end term exams.

our hostel is well equiped with a big gym . for first year students hostel in coming last time is 8 PM and our institute classes stat at 10 AM.Our college is in Sohra cherapungi which is a tourist place full of green mountains.
