AKGEC Honest review.

College has lots of labs for robotics, innovation, welding, automobiles, etc. that attracted me. College follows the AKTU curriculum, which is really outdated. Syllabus should be reframed according to industry demand. More lab work should be added to the daily curriculum. Exams are of a level relevant to university exams(Moderate). Classes are off during exams. There are exams every month, therefore students get very little time for self-development.

students in 7th, and 8th semester are elligible for campus placements. this year highest placement was arround 40+ lpa, second highest placement arround 30+ lpa, third highest arround 23 lpa. IBM, INFOSYS, TCS, CAPEGIMNI, TECH MAHINDRA ,etc are the mass recruiters. INFOSYS recruited 118 students for 4.5-6 lpa. Few startups also recruit few students for package arround 6-8 lpa Amazon has black listed the college. Due to resession the placement percent of ever college has been low, so the college has a low placement percent but students putting efforts gets placed.

The first year fees is around 142000, whereas the fees for the whole 4 years is arround 550000. Fees for all other courses is nearly the same. 5000 rupees caution money(refundable) is deposited. Students are eligible for National and State Scholarships. College provides assistance to eligible students. College has its own scholarships of 100% to 10% on tution fees for top 10 performing students in university exams and various monetary prizes for various activities like punctuality, Sesional test topper, etc, from 200 to 2000 rupees.

Campus life is very boring for students of 2nd 3rd and 4th year, especially if you are not part any societies or clubs. Very minimal fests (Freshers, Diwali clelebration, Sports fests, Holi celebration, Garba night{only for girls}, various spiritual events at faith centre, etc.). If you don't play sports or aren't a part of any club or society you only get to enjoy 3-4 fests in span of 2 semesters. 2 major sports fest (FIT INDIA) inter year and (SAKSHAM) inter branch. Enough sports equipment and facilities for practice are provided by the college. There are multiple cultural societies (Photography club, Dance club, Music club, Art club, etc.) The clybs and societies are the only way in this college to make your campus life worth. College has a vast library that includes air conditioned seating room, private study seats, No noise room, etc.Computers are available with internet connection in library, coffee machine, vast collection of books. College even has money prize for student spending most time in the library to encorage the student. The classes have digital boards and speakers, no air conditioning till last year but will start for this year.

Admission process is through AKTU councelling(UPTAC). On the basis of jee mains marks. Eligibilty is as on the UPTAC councelling. For general category-- CSE under 125000 rank CSE AIML under 145000 rank CSE DS under 165000 rank IT under 175000 rank ECE under 300000 rank For OBC category-- CSE under 150000 rank CSE AIML under 165000 rank CSE DS under 180000 rank IT under 210000 rank You can get direct admission through 12th result. For CS-IT branches >90%

Really nice and educated faculties, always there to suppourt you. Faculties always available and reachable. there are arround Talking about 1st year there are arround 50+ faculties and stdents are arround 1500, so 1 faculty per 30 students approx. Older faculties are really good, few younger faculties having lesser teaching experience are not as good as the older ones but still helpful. Many exams ST-1, ST-2, STT, PUT (ST-1 and ST-2 are sessional tests, STT is improvement exam, PUT are pre university exam) One exam each month. Arround 100-150 students fail in exams. Course is according to AKTU curriculum(Outdated).

College has 2 gyms first open gym for all students available till 10:00 pm, second gym for hostlers only, but no worries, multiple low-price gyms are available in the area. College has 3 canteens excluding the ones in hostels, One in the CS-IT block other 2 infront of the mechanical block. Hostel entry timings for boys is till 10:00 pm Hostel timings for girls is till 8:00 pm The classes begins from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with two breaks of 50 mins each. College has faith centre with timings from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Next to college is sanchi street with cafes and food stalls. Students spend there time after college at sanchi street. Delhi is 50-60 mins from college The college is on highway with many other colleges like IMS, Hi Tech, INMANTEC, Saraswati college of professional studies, Royal college of law, The colleges connectivity is good but the area in it self is not very good
