Curriculum is well designed as it provides enough leisure time. It is not packed up like any other engineering collges in india. You'll get enough time to prepare for examinations. Exams correction is solely based on the accuracy of the answer but not the length of the answer.

Annual fee is 1,40,000 which is 70,000 per semester for general category students. This includes library fees, lab fees, dispensary fees etc And hostel fees combined with electricity, water and mess bills its 33,000. If you are from reserved category, fees is waved off more than 80%. For example obc ncl category students tution fees is around 8000 per semester. And excluding general students there are scholarships also based on annual income of parents. And the hostel fees will be refunded 50% after the completion of the academic year.

Nit raipur has two big fests in January and February. Samar is considered as the sports fest. It includes all sports. It is held for 3 days straight. And the other fest is eclectrica which is considered as the central indias largest fest. It is cultural fest . It is also held for 3 days.which includes cult night celeb night and dj night. Libraries are easily accessible. Every book related or required for the semester exams is available.

I applied through josaa counselling. I applied for other nits also. I strongly suggest to prefer collegs over branches. Because in the end that matters is your college life and skills. I didn't want to choose branch lower than mechanical. So as per my requirements nit raipur is what i got

Faculty here provides good knowledge on subjects. Faculties are friendly and approachable. In mechanical department, sir who teaches engineering mechanics has great knowledge in his subject. Usually exams are easier in the first academic year compared to other nits. Mechanism and electrical department exams are considered a bit complicated.

Boys hostel intime is 9pm and for girls it is 9.30 pm. No body should roam outside in the campus after these hours. Security is provided in the campus. There is a gym in the campus. A cafe kind of place which is vachan and a canteen, ground, basketball court.
