Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is same as the curriculum of university of Delhi and books used here overlap with the university of Delhi. There will be internal assessment tests and continuous assessment tests conducted once in two months or once in a month and semester exam in the end of 3-4 months
Internships Opportunities
In chemistry department, there are many internships provided, especially the DBT star scheme internship and the Nanotech internship, which gives knowledge and skills about nano technology and chemistry along with biotechnology.
Fees and Financial Aid
27000 per year for BSc chemistry hons. It is of an affordable range in my pov.Other courses have different fees which is usually less than 27k (for Arts) as they don't have to pay lab fees. There are so many scholarships provided and the one I am aware is the Inspire Scholarship for students who received 95 percent and above in cbse 12th board exam.
Campus Life
The annual fest here is named as Mecca and it is one of the biggest fests of Delhi University. The library has books of various disciplines and any student belonging to the college can get the membership for free. There are variety of societies or clubs, which provides exposure and involvement in extra curricular activities like music, dance, drama, theatre, etc
Admission
I chose this college and kept Hindu College as my first preference because it is has NIRF rank 1 and not just that ,it provides great opportunities and has the best infrastructure compared to other dU colleges. The faculty, the infrastructure, the facilities are amazing in comparison to other colleges that takes same fees and provides same courses.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite good, and there are minimum two teachers assigned for a single subject, which is a very good number according to me, and they are extremely interactive and chill to be with. There are only two semesters for a year and around seven subjects. the fail percentage is almost negligible.
Night Life
Since the college is present in the north campus, there are variety of cafes and restaurants available outside and also a lot of PGs where accommodation becomes more easier for the students who come from other states or cities to study here.Since hostel has very limites seats based on merit,PGs outside the college is preferred by most.
Other Applied Colleges
St Stephen's College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Chemistry)
