Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is amazing and future nurturing. All the modern requirements are analysed and taught through the program for example there is additive Manufacturing, aerospace engineering, vibration and noise control, mechatronics, etc. unlike other colleges Cochin University offers these subjects to the students in an in-depth manner. Since these difficult subjects are there in depth the curriculum tends to be more difficult.

Internships Opportunities

1

Internship: Cochin shipyard not stipend Hound electricals 10000 Fab lab not stipend Kerala startup mission kinfra:8000 The internships are not provided by the college we have to search it ourselves and get there.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure while joining the course said total of rupees 48900 per semester and there is a caution deposit of rupees 1500 approximately while joining but this might vary. And at present this might have increased . The university is increasing the semester fee bt 3 percentage every year (this is legally permissible). Apart from this we are asked to pay certain amount as PTA fee at the joining time. Also alumni fee is mandatory while leaving the college. The exams fees and other miscellaneous fees are included in the semester fee. The value of money is there for the course. Even though it is little over the price comparing other kerala government colleges

Campus Life

5

The overall experience is amazing. I was able to be a part of different clubs here and was able to show case myself nationally. The campus is full time on and there are programmes every now and then to enjoy. There is technical fests, art fest, conferences, clubs, sports and well engaged libraries. The technical fests vibhava and dhishna are generally organised in the months of November and march, sports are october and conferences happens every week or so.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are 6 girls hostels and 9 boys hostels as of now but 2 are under construction. The food provided there is excellent especially for the alakananda hostel. The quality is amazing. The hostel fee is rupees 500 per month excluding food and monthly rate of food come around 2500 per month it is varying. This is the case of university hostel. There is a caution fee upon admission to hostel which is rupees 1000 and an admission fee of rupees 1350 for hostel seperately. The admission procedure is simple you have to apply online while joining. Getting hostel upon joining itself might not be possible so you might have to take private hostels. There are plenty of private hostels near by. This may cost you about 6000 rupees per month.

Admission

There is an entrance test for getting admission in this college after getting an approximate rank of 3000 and above you can secure your seats in various streams here. Upon securing that you can accept your admission through online portal. The admission procedure are simple

Faculty

We have a semester based exam system. And there will be 2 internal exams for each subject apart from semester exams at the end there is no internal improvement for improving the internal marks 40% of your overall marks will be from internals and remaining 60% will be from semester exams and you are required to score 50% overall and 24% from the semester exams the total score is out of 100 40 internals and 60 externals for each subject. The exams are generally in moderate levels and I can promise you that it is not that easy but achievable. The teachers are friendly and approachable the best faculty in my opinion are Dr Biju N, Dr Gireesh kumaran Thambi and Dr. Tide P S. And all other facilities are also amazing. All these facilities helped us to create different clubs and nurtured is to gaining skills rather than just studying, they showed us how the real industry is and also promoted us to understand the real world problems.

Night Life

5

My favourite space in college is our university library it is open till 12 in the night. The hostel in time is 11pm. There is a lot of hangout spaces near us since the college is right in the heart of Cochin. We are accessible to all the public transport which makes it easy to travel. We have metro, train and bus accessiblity. We are close to part places like edapally, fort kochi etc

Other Applied Colleges

Calicut University - [CU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Chemistry)

No placements and CUSAT was better option since I was joining a technical course

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
