Course Curriculum Overview

4

The main reason i choose this course is that EC is the combination of hasrdware and software, I can get into the which ever i want after the granduation. beacuse of this reason only i choose this course. And all teh curiculum helps me to prepare to real world scenarios its not like will be studying only bookish things. The frequency of exams were in each semester will be having 3 internal per month and after that ther will be a semester end exams. There has tobe the aggregationof 50% marks from internals to be eligible in the semester end exams

Internships Opportunities

4

The most well estabished companies visited our cmapus during the placements some of them are Siemens, Wipro, Adobe, Western digital etc. And few of the companies offered th eintership opportunity during the placements and some will not and for those who didn't got intership can choose the courses instead of doing the onterhip at teh end of 8th semester.

Placement Experience

5

The students become eligible for the placements after 3rd smester. There are almost 30k+ companies visited our college during the placements drive which includes most of the MNCs. And in our college there were 4 tiers that is mass - 0-3 lpa, core - 0-7 lpa, dream - 7-10 lpa, super dream - above 10 lpa. The student can accept the max of 2 offers among that the one with the highest packages will get blocked for that students. there were 90% students got placed in our class

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee structure including all the categories are as follows, in year 1 - 18500 year 2 - 23500 year 3 - 32500 year 4 - 34500 this is the fee i paid, which is basic fee structure as i qualified vis KCET and got ranking and also my classmates are also was paying aroung 70000 per year via COMEDK and 2 laksh via management seat

Campus Life

4

the campus life is very awesome. the cultural fests takes place every every year in the month of march and The fest name is 'TechNIEks'. It lasts for a week. the library is very good and we can get lots of course related books and also other books as well. there will a library membership for the students. most of the classes equipped with smart boards and there will be a live demonstration and laboratory demonstration as well for all the courses. There is enough scope for other sports and extra curiculum as well. there are lots of students clubs present like NISB others

Admission

After my kea i had a option entry where i have selected multiple other colleges like SJCE, vidyavardhaka other than NIE. But Im fortunate enough to get into NIE, which was my dream college, and also I got the couse which i dreamt of. After the selection the admission process is very smooth and easy, and it took around 2 hrs to complete all the procedures to get the admission

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very friendlly, and the faculty to student ratio is around 1:8 roughly. All the faculties are genuine and helpful in clearing the doubts realted to the courses. I like all my faculties in EC department . There were 3 internals and one semester end exams at the end of each semester. All are pretty simple and straight forward

Interview Experience

4

Yes, there are 3 rounds of interview for me and one test and 2 consective rounds of interview. I went for placement training for the preparation. in interview they will ask normal interview questions basics of all prgramming langs and courses you have studied

Night Life

5

The night life near college is superb as mysore is a very calm place. There are many hangout places near the college campus many cafes restaurants. There is a gym facilitry at the college. the libarary timing is from 10 am to 7pm ebery day including sundays too. the locality is super safe to roam around at night

Other Applied Colleges

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering - [SJCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

Compared to the course i got in SJCE the course at NIE is good and also NIE is a reputed one

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for this year is the updated one. Its 2025 Scheme for the students. The curriculum is well designed according to the needs of CSE students for real life coding. The curriculum contains all required and updated topics which students from CSE background require to develop excellent skills for jobs and startups. There should be only one internal exam instead of two. Because, two internal exams tend to keep them involved more into college exams leaving very less time to build their extra skills. Thus there should be only one internal exam so that students can build their extra skills.
