Course Curriculum Overview

This course makes me a plant doctor. this course has great importance in this current stage of India because agriculture is becoming a vast and important sector. There are many career opportunities for this course like an agriculture officer. agri business management agriculture research scientist.. agriculture extension officer.. agriculture consultant.. agricultural inspector etc. The exams are given at proper timings with gaps and we are getting enough time to study and do well except for some rare cases of difficulties. as it is a professional course, the difficulty level is medium to hard.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are two semesters in a year and first semester has a fees of 35k and second semester has a fees of 27k.. admission fee is 10k as we cracked the cuet icar examination.. Tution fee is 11k Registration- 820rupees Library- 820rupees Sports -1200rupees Tour few -3435 rupees There is national testing scholarship (NTS) which provides 3000 rupees per month.. Hostel Facilities

1

In one room there is 5 people..each one is having one chair and one table..only 3 cupboards are present that is shared by 5 peoples.. In a block is 16 rooms everyone having a common bathroom which include 4 wash basins and 12 washrooms. They also provide electricity fan lights waste baskets etc Meal quality is very bad..our of state peoples cannot adjust this food..it is hygienic but taste is not good.the menu is for breakfast food items like chithranna, puliograa,Pongal, dosa, rotti, bhajji etc for lunch we will be having mainly rice and sambar some days there will chappathi brinjal curry cauliflower curry groundnut curry etc also they gives a cool drink along with this The night food is mainly chappathi Also the hostel is having feast on every month..in that many food items like fried dries, gopi, pappad, Icream gulab jamun etc Hostel is situated inside the primise of University itself.. Registration process of hostel was during the time of college admission..there we gave 12k and got admitted to our room..the hostel fee include many fees like rent, electricity, labour wage, development fund for Hostel, registration fee etc.. In evening we also have snacks except on Sundays..here snacks involves egg rolls, chicken rolls, egg puffs, biscuit, mandakki ,corn ,Pani puri etc. The cleanliness of hostel is under question because toilets are smelly and not clean.

Admission

Actually I wrote the cuet (common university entrance test)for different agricultural universities under icar the exam was of 600 marks all MCQ and I scored 420 marks with a overall india rank of 2100 Later during option filling my first option was universal of agricultural and Horticultural science Bangalore but I couldn't get there for somewhat 1000 rank difference do the next best option was this college so I filled option here and I got it in the second round. My overall admission procedure was never planned one because I will actually preparing for neet and unfortunately I couldn't get it so simply write the cuet exam I got this college..coming to the procedure here we took admission from the main university where is gave our important credentials like 10th and 12th mark card..cuet score card.. allotment letter etc..and we payed registration fee and got our admission letter which we submitted at our college and admission was confirmed .....if I got 500 plus mark I would have surely got my desired college but this didn't happen so I took admission at this college as I asked many seniors who studied here..2 seniors told that this college is good and adjustable even though problem with food may occur..but accademically it is a better option.

Faculty

5

The boys to girls ratio here is same..but the faculty to student ratio is 50:250.. Faculties are very good and is really approachable..they gives all needed notes before exams they help is making us understand things easily Apart from teaching their own subject they also share their life experience which shows us that they not only want us to be a good student but also a good human . The faculty I like the most is my fundamentals of soil science professor of 1st semester his words really inspired and motivated me very much..he shared many of his life experience. There is a extension miss I don't like because of 2 reason one is she never explains us anything she simply reads and tells us that all topic is simple and we can study for ourself but actually this is not the thing..also she tored pages of record which also made me feel bad about her. There are total 4 exams in a semester the first exam will be the AQ;that is containing only objective questions it is out of 10 Next exam is midterm which contains both objective and subjective which is out of 20 The next exam is practical examination..not all subjects have practical exams..these includes some calculations identification reasoning questions etc this exam is out of 15 Next is the main university exam which is the external exam it is out of 40 marks and 2 hours are given this also contain both objective like full ups MCQ,true or false and match the following and subjective like 1 sentance answers..short answers and long answers. These exams are so easy for a talented student because it can be studied just before one day or exam..only around 10 students that too boys usually fail.. This course curriculum is very relevant because it helps us studying all the fundamentals of my course and skill enhancement.

Night Life

1

Our main hangout spot is our hostel terrace..we as groups go there and spend time with friends together we enjoy so much there talks so much about different things Other one is the footspot we always go to eat panipuri in the evening..this is such a peaceful things to us because after a heavy schedule our free time will be there Also we have a hotel were we get egg rice for 50 rupees..it's is very affordable for us... Telling about the night life there is nothing we can do at night because girls hostel closing time is 7.00pm because the locality is not safe at night time The hangout spot inside our college is the park where we have many seats in middle where we all sit and talk.. College also have canteens where we get cool drinks. The hostel closes everyday at sharp 7pm The gate opens at 5am The college starts at 9.00 in the morning 1st 2 periods are 1 hour but the next hour is skill enhancement course which is of 2 hours Lunch break is from 1 to 2 pm next class at 2 to 4pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was very well structured with both theoretical and Practical exposure. The curriculum is designed in such a way that they are very relevant to real world , this also prepare the students to the real world applications and further academic pursuits. The improvements can be made in the practical part of the courses. There must be regular field visits and utilisation of funds to bring innovation. The internal exam would be after 2 to 2.5 months after the commencement of the semester and practical exams would be immediately after 10 days of the internals. The external or final exams would be after a month of practical exams. There will be enough time to prepare for the exams from the commencement of the semester but there will be no study holidays and gaps between the exams.
