Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course in general teaches you lot about the practical stuffs that we need to know about our daily life if not more. We learn a lot about plant disease and how to treat them. The technical aspects of agriculture etc.

Internships Opportunities

4

They give us internship in Mandya college of agriculture. We have to be there for 2 weeks and work for tissue culture and seed work in lab. They had to work on daily stipend basis. They are also taken to KVK for work.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay yearly around 55 thousands of rupees and I also get ICAR scholarships of around 20 thousands twice a year. The sc st people's fees is covered by government. The Karnataka state people also get SSP scholarship

Campus Life

5

This college provides very very good provinces for sports activities as this college participates in youth fest every year so they make sure the students are also participating in daily sports activities . Also this colleges this college makes you the students participated NSS and so they take care of the sports aspect and the health of the youth of this college

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities quite good the close to college 2 minutes 5 so students can easily go to college without any problem and the meal is very healthy. They take care of the dietary aspect . they give very good amount of vegetables and other type of fibres and the rooms are clean there is good light and water supply

Admission

I applied for another botany college in Kolkata. But I really wanted to do horticulture and the college of horticulture mysore which I am currently in has way better faculties than the faculties in other colleges under this university. I wrote the ICAR exam and got into the college through online councelling

Faculty

4

The student to teacher ratio is quite good as well as the student to teacher conversation. The teacher of post harvesting, pathology and entomology are very passionate and they will make sure you learn well and do good . Where as the professors of soil science were quite negligent. The exams are moderate to hard but they are quite doable if you listen to classes

Night Life

3

The nearby shops where students after college go to eat there if a good canteen where the students go and eat and also . Night time is quite study focused in this college because girls hostel get closed by 6 o'clock so the students can focus on their study
