Remarks

You will not regret it after 4 years, however yiu may complain while passing those 4 years. It is hell of an experience. Coding environment is above all. Crowd is very less. Every student has a vision to work upon. Infrastructure is developing but the natural environment around here is graceful. The prime location in capital NCR adds to the plus point. Negative point is its old curriculum and average infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum of NSUT, Delhi is pretty old to be honest. Students are still taught years old subjects and topics which are quite less of practical use. It is needed to be updated. There are 8 semesters covered through the span of 4 years. Exams are conducted twice a semester, namely Mid sem examination and end sem examination. Internal Exams are also conducted by professors for internal evaluations.

Placement Experience

5

NSUT, DELHI is well known for its placement and internship opportunities. Almost every student who appears for the placements gets placed in one of the companies. Every year around 130 to 180 companies arrive in NSUT. Tech giants like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG and any other you name it can be seen here in the placement seasons. Average package of NSUT is around 12 lpa while the highest package may go upto crores. However NSUT never reveals the statistics officially. Internship process is same as placements. Companies arrive and you apply for them. There are few rounds including MCQs, PI round and HR round. Seniors tells average stipend depends upon your skills. Many students are able to grab pre placement offers (PPO).

College Events

5

Very famous MOKSHA is the annual fest of NSUT, Delhi. Other internal fest include INNOVISION, MUN, RESONANCE etc. Moksha witness the huge gathering form all over Delhi University enjoying various events spread through 3 days. Celebrities from Monali Thakur to Salim Sulaiman can be seen performing here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of NSUT is quite expensive. Fees at the starting of 2018-19 batch was 1.50 lakhs per year and it keeps increasing every year. By the end of 2022 batch, fees will rise up to 2 lakhs per year. It is still increasing every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nsut provides scholarship as fee concession for top 6 students of each brach. Loans are provided by State Bank of India which is situated just below the Admin Block of NSUT. No such scholarship before hand is provided to under privileged students.

Campus Life

3.5

There are more than enough extra curricular activities in NSUT. From sports to debate to chess to art and craft every thing can be found here. Gym is unbuilt and is free of cost for students and staff. Sports complex is spread over several acres that includes 1 football field, one cricket field, 2 volley ball courts, two tennis courts, 2 basketball courts and much more. There are more than 20 societies and clubs run by students through which students can explore their interests.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I am a day scholar but the reviews I have heard are balanced. Rooms are quite small. Infrastructure is average. Food is average. Strict warden for 1st years. Air conditioners are not allowed. Buildings are of 3 floors.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors of the college are like god for new comers. There is not a single sign of ragging. Seniors maintain a healthy relationship with juniors and help them in every way possible. Even before the starting of 1st semester, senior students make whatsapp groups to help new comers even with slightest doubt. Alumni are numerous including Ira Singhal (UPSC AIR 1).

Admission

Netaji Subhas University Of Technology ( formerly known as Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology) falls under the circulation of Joint Admission Counselling (JAC), DELHI. Admissions are done every year on the basis of JEE MAIN rank. JAC DELHI release 7 cut offs post Jee Advanced. One need to register on JAC Delhi website and fill the preferences of colleges and course. I got a rank under 20k in Jee Main and hence was admitted to NSUT Delhi, in Information Technology Branch.

Faculty

3.5

Being a reputed college of India, professors in NSUT are well qualified and well versed with knowledge of their fields. Very helpful once you approach them for a genuine cause. Faculty is generally regular and on time. But some faculty may take leave without informing before hand. Topics covered by them can be understood if one pay attention (which is hardly the case). Overall 7/10 for faculty.

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

There was no such provision of jobs or fixed placements however there was a placement cell which was quite active and hence there were opportunities for placements by contacting the cell and placement fairs were also organised that were open for all, but not many opportunities were given. The companies that took candidates were economic times, TOI etc paying a very basic fresher stipend of 10-15k. Very few students actually got to know about these placement drives hence the placements weren't great also not many companies came on campus.
