Dislikes
- I studied in sub- campus at vijayapura. The city is hot during summers and many students struggle to go to college during peak hours.
- Water availability during summers is a huge problem over there. One has to manage with very less amount of water every day during that season.
- There is nothing else to be disliked apart from these.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the subjects that are included in the course are really important to survive in the agriculture sector if someone wants to build career. These courses teaches from fundamentala to advanced technology covering each and every aspect of this field. I think practical experience plays very important role in preparing students for the real world challenges rather than theory. So college has to give more importance to practical classes and conduct field classes more often rather than classroom teaching. Exams schedule and difficulty level is at par

Admission
In Karnataka, one can get seat in agriculture college through K-CET. We are supposed to give priority order for our colleges. So my priority order was - 1.University of agricultural Sciences, Dharwad 2.College of Agriculture, Vijayapura 3.University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur 4.GKVK, Bengaluru.. So i got into college of agriculture vijayapura. I couldn't make it to UASD dharwad since the cut off was a big high. I put vijayapura college as my 2nd priority because it is the sub campus of dharwad university itself. Uasd was my frst prefereed university because i have heard a lot about its reputation and faculty and campus life. Once I got selected for the college i had to visit college for further admission process by submitting all the necessary documents, filling out the admission form, paying the 1st semester fees.
Faculty
College of agriculture, Vijayapur, has great faculty and infrastructure. There are separate departments for every subject and ecah department has an HOD and 4-5 lecturers. All lecturers are very well experienced and teach very well. To take the name of best faculty, I would say Dr. Vastrad sir, HOD of Plant pathology, he's great at teaching and always available for our doubts and approchable. Also Dr. Prakash, faculty of plant entomology, he teaches the best I would not say i hated this professor but i never liked her teaching style - Dr. Vasantha kumari, she is very knowledgeable though and I have a huge respect. The only thing is i never understood. There are 4 semesters and in each semester we have one internal assessment and one external assessment. The question papers difficulty level i would rate 7/10. The course curriculum is very relevant and mostly everyone passes the exams except few.
Night Life
The college is located in the outskirts of vijayapura, so its 7kms away from city. In between city and college theres hypermart where one can spend their time and hangout sometimes for lunch, snacks or dinner. College has a canteen and a xerox shop. Usually students spend their time in farm fields. College is covered with full of fields so, it feels good to hang out in the evening.
