- good curriculum as we will get to know about programming in the 1st sem itself
- Many events such as DJ night and comedy shows
- Teachers are approachable, you can ask and clear your doubts through mail or even contact number
Dislikes
- Campus Size might seem small to many of the students
- restrictions are way too many for every single thing
- Less Grounds which makes difficult to play team games especially cricket
Course Curriculum Overview
In my first sem I got my hands on the latest Python language and Front -End engineering , which I think is not the case in many of the colleges and I was not taught the traditional physics and chemistry , which is a plus point I think. The exams are held according to course for some it may be alternate saturday and other it may be after every one and half month and they are easy to clear if you have that concept clearance
Placement Experience
I think from 3rd year onwards we are eligible for placements and the highest package has gone upto 40 lpa and more than 50% students were placed and the average is 7-8lpa which is good I believe , I am not aware about the no. of companies and offers made , my plan after degree is to get a good job which suits me the best.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for my course CSE-AI and ML is 1.5lacs per semester and everything is included in it and there is no category system as of my knowledge. As every batchmate of mine has paid the exact amount as of mine
Campus Life
RANGREZ - theatre fest , and Pitaara nights are some of the main events or fests which are really good and many celebs come to perform over here which includes many punjabi singers and actors one such is Parmish verma
Hostel Facilities
The room is Quite spacious , and my room also has attached washroom and bathroom and balcony . One can register from Uhostel application , the rent is quite high 72000 per semester The meal in the mess is average you may or may not like depending on the taste you have . The mess and laundry (2 times a week)is included in the hostel fee.
Admission
I had the option of Thapar , Newton School of Technology but I choose this mainly because of two reasons , the most important is the fees as it is way less than Thapar and other is its near where I belong to.
Faculty
I am being taught by the team of masai and believe it i quite liked the way the teach us and they are concerned about are performance in the exams and assignments . Talking about exams we have STs here which may be 2 or 3 per sem and at the end its End term which i mean is average and easy to pass and the weightage of STs and ETE may vary according to the course choosen
Night Life
One needs to pay extra for gym , and it is open from 6:00am to 10:00pm. Library is open till 11:30p.m. For hostel the timing is 12:00 a.m. The famous hangout places over here are Chitkara woods ,Square one(Food Area) and Alpha zone
