What Students Say
Likes
- The college is in a silent area and it is so peaceful
- The college is very neat and clean and they has a number of cleaning staff
- The teachers are so professional and approachable
Dislikes
- The fee is comparatively huge than other central universities.
- The administration is a kind of biased and judgmental
- Have a walk of 20 minutes from hostel to college . So it is difficult to come to hostel to have food and go back for afternoon classes in summer
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is so updated and they focus more on application. They also provide us with the knowledge of emerging fields and opportunities. But i feel like the curriculum should be less hectic for the students. The exams are veru frequent here because there will be 3 internal assessments before the main exams and they are so hectic.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is around 21000 for applied psychology. But it will vary according to department. The lab is 2000. Other compulsory charges include the fee they collect for internal booklets. It is mandatory
Campus Life
The college has convocation which is around january or march. And there are many other programs conducted by departments. Since it is a budding university the library is comparatively small than other colleges. But they manage to provide the books that are necessary for the students. They have both computer labs and science labs. The college has a football team and sports team and conduct sports activities frequently. There are clubs like film club where the student engagement is very high
Hostel Facilities
The room has a bed, table, chair, shoe stand , cupboard, broom and a dustbin. The rooms are mainly 3 sharing. The food is somehow a disaster. The registration process is merit based. The hostel rent is so over when comparing to other central universities and their facilities. They charge 7000 rupees for one semester for a 3 sharing bedroom
Admission
I applied to university of Delhi, pondicherry university and university of Karnataka. I only got admission to this university. The reason why i got rejected by others was that the cutoff was above my score for general category. I had a score of 220 but Karnataka university called students who got 225. The admission process is purely based on cuet score and the university also conduct entrance exams. Eligibility differs from department to department. Overall admission process was good because they made it up fastly
Faculty
The number of faculties is limited. My departments has only 1-2 teachers. Since it is a budding university they have the limitations but it is still progressing. The exams are mainly semester wise and it is continues that there is no gap between the exam days. The curriculum is up-to-date and application based.
Interview Experience
I wrote cuet exam for the admission. The test had 75 questions. I prepared by taking online coaching. The exam pattern changed that year. The test was purely based on the subject. There were no interview from the college
Night Life
There are canteens outside the campus and inside the campus. The college is situated somehow away from the main town. So the availability of shops and supermarkets are less. There is a boys and girls hostel. The girl's hostel timing is 8'O clock and boys hostel's is 9.30. It is safe to roam around inside the campus but the local area is not so safe
