Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course here in sri Venkateswara university is master of science in statistics. This subject seems to be very interesting and I am very happy with the knowledge that I can get to know from my faculty. Coming to exams and conducting exams they give much time from sem to sem. As it is a semester system we have a lot of time to study. We will be having two internal exams and an external exam. Internal exam is for 20 marks and external exam is for 80 marks on a total of 100 marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

Coming to scholarships, the students are eligible for jvd( jagananna vidya deevena) which covers up all the college educational expenses including the term fees. There are four terms in each semester and by time to time we get scholarships. Also we have campus placements here in the university.

Campus Life

4.5

We celebrate various kinds of cultural events and activities at our university. We have flash mobs, college days, ethnic days, multiple events about awareness of so many different things that are happening in and around our community. Also the library is one of the best libraries in India with wide range of books available for students. Also we have electronic library which helps a student to read books very easliy. We students also run different social groups like college radio , social clubs and many more to improve the social and communication skills.

Admission

The eligibility of the course is you must have completed the bachelors with atleast of 75 percentage and you must attend an exam PGCET ( post graduation common entrance test) in which you have to qualify with cut off which is affiliated according to the caste you belongs to and according to the university you select. In SVU you have to score atleast of 80 marks for a total of 100 marks in PGCET. And your rank should be below 500. Then you'll be eligible for a seat here

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is very appreciable. Here in sri venkateswara university for every 30 students we have six teaching staff members and three non teaching staff members. It is very easy to talk to faculty about the issue we have in the suject. It seems very easy to have an open conversation about any topic and we have the opportunity to share our thoughts on the issue or subject. Which leads to healthy environment.

The curriculum is so updated and they focus more on application. They also provide us with the knowledge of emerging fields and opportunities. But i feel like the curriculum should be less hectic for the students. The exams are veru frequent here because there will be 3 internal assessments before the main exams and they are so hectic.
