SSSIHL Admission 2024

The institute provides admissions for the undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programs through online as well as offline mode. Candidates who are eligible for their respective courses can follow the procedure given below.

All the candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored by them in the written entrance exam. The students who clear the exam are then interviewed by the committee.

The final list of candidates provisionally selected for entry into SSSIHL will be published on the university’s website.

How to Apply?

The admission form is released on the official website of the university or the candidates can get the paper application form posted to them if they wish to apply offline.
Candidates have to fill this application form with valid details.
Necessary documents should be submitted along with the form.
Pay the application fee. If you have chosen to pay online, kindly print and attach a copy of the electronic receipt. Otherwise, kindly send an Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) for INR 100 per application. The Bank draft should be drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi.
Submit the application form on or before the stipulated time.

SSSIHL Placement

The institute provides placements for the post graduate students and not for the graduate students. Many companies such as Amazon, Scope International, HDFC Bank, Alcatel Lucent, etc visit the University for Campus Placements of the students. . A median salary for these students range from 2L-6L per annum.

However, the Alumni group helps students for placements. These groups also conduct training sessions for the students to get better job opportunities.

SSSIHL Scholarships

The institute does not provide any scholarship for the students but as a nonprofit organization provides free education. It does not charge any tuition fees or exam fees for the students. It offers free education for all the students. But students have to pay for their residential facility as well as for their mess facility. And even if candidates wish to seek scholarship can apply for the government scholarships. Students are provided with different governmental scholarships.

SSSIHL Facilities

The University provides the best required facilities for the students as well as for the staff. Some of them are as follows.

Hostel: The University provides well maintained hostels within the campus. The hostels have their own mess for the students. Students pursuing education in this institute have to stay in hostel compulsory.
Computer Lab: The modern Computer Centre at the campuses is equipped with 492 computers for use by the students. As a result, the student to computer ratio of the University now stands at 2.5:1. Wi-Fi and broadband connectivity ties the whole campus together.
Library: Every department of the university has a well equipped and well maintained library with journals, e-books for research and for the study of students.
Workstations: The institute has well maintained and equipped 80 workstations including different departments of technical studies. Students are trained with practical knowledge for better understanding.
Sports: The institute provides varieties of sports for physical education such as Tennis Court, Cricket Stadium and also provides indoor games such as table tennis, carom, etc

Apart from these, the institute has spacious and peaceful surroundings. It has different prayer halls for meditation and prayers and also has an Auditorium which can accommodate over 900 people for different events in university.

SSSIHL Faculty

The institute has well qualified and experienced faculty for the students. There are three academic faculties and ten departments at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. Each faculty has a full-time Dean and all departments have a full-time Head and the institute has 50+ teaching staff for the students. The Chancellor of the Institute is Sri.K. Chakravarthi and the Vice Chancellor is Prof. (Dr). C.V Sanjeev. Some other heads are:

Ques. Can boys take admission in SSSIHL, Ananthapur Campus?

Ans. No, this campus is only for girls and the boys can take admission in other three campuses of the institute which are:

Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh
Brindavan Campus, at Whitefield, Bangalore, Karnataka
Muddenahalli Campus at Muddenahalli, near Chikkaballapur, Karnataka.

Ques. Can overseas Students apply?

Ans. Yes. All overseas applicants are welcome to apply as long as they meet the individual eligibility criteria for each programme.

Ques. What are the documents required during the pre-admission process?

Ans. The documents required are all the academic qualification certificates such as marksheets of Class X, XII and graduation marksheets and scanned photographs with signature.

Ques. What is the maximum age for M.A. Program?

Ans. The maximum age for admission to M.A. programme is 23 Years.

Dislikes

The huge campus which has the provision of every single thing be it the atm machine, the stores which provides every item to purchase and the excellent library
The food that is served in the hostel is beyond explanation. It is served with so much love and is sumptuous beyond expectations.
The engagement in extra curricular activities is so much encouraged.

Dislikes

The Bachelor of Arts department needs a lot of improvement.
Academically, other departments are doing well but I personally believe that the history and political science department needs a lot of improvement.
Placement should be provided for BA course as well.

College competence

So, honestly, my decision was actually influenced by my mother as she is an ex student and I was not very much interested in joining the college as it did not allow us phones to keep and it was very much of a strange place to me. But as time flew in the campus I was very much enjoying the times spent there with thousands of things to learn about and most importantly I discovered myself there. In today's world, where people are too busy running behind others, this is a perfect place to discover yourself. With academics and the excellent faculty, there are a lot of life lessons learnt here.

Fees of the course per year

So, honestly, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of higher learning is a place where they donot charge a single penny for course fees, tuition fees or any fees besides the mess fees which is 20000 rupees on a yearly basis. I had to write 20000 rupees in the course fees section in the previous section as the page was not accepting 0 as a value. The reason being that the tuition fees in not given is because the college is owned by Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and he had a vision of imparting education to every child so every course in the university is free of cost.

Students view on campus life

So every festival here is celebrated with huge enthusiasm be it of any religion as we dive into the principles of Bhagwaan Baba, it is believed that god is one and so every festival is celebrated here. Also, there is something called self reliance where every student have to take up a department which can be of event management, dance, music, fine arts. Every week a competition is held based on these departments and there is a winner.

Hostel accommodation in the campus

Like mentioned, yearly 20,000 rupees is deposited for mess fees other than that nothing is charged. The food provided is sumptuous and variety is served on a daily basis. Discipline is maintained strictly and it is mandatory for every student to stay in the hostel. There are no day scholars.

Students view on faculties

The examination and marking scheme is very much fair and the highly experienced faculty is very much supportive with their teaching methods being highly excellent. The teacher student ratio being 8:1 is very much satisfying and 78% of teachers hold doctorate degrees and most of them are resident teachers which makes them very supportive and available throughout.

Admission Process of the college

I did not apply anywhere before Sri Sathya Sai institute of higher learning because as I mentioned before that my mother was an ex student so it was always decided that I would study there. The admission process is based on merit. There are basically three rounds where in the first round you get a calling letter for the written test, in the second round you appear for the test and when you clear the test you have to clear the interview round in the last round. That's how when gets admission here.

Admission:

I applied for Delhi Univ and Punjab University and didn't got admission from both. I didn't studied for the entrance exam because of my SSB for Cds were there For admission there will be entrance test and interview test and after that merit list will be there and mostly top 5 are selected for each course

Student Snaps:

The College provides not only Academic education but also human values. The College is very unique in terms of the education provided here, students are very bright. The atmosphere is best suited for studies. You have to go through an entrance exam after which there is an interview round and then you get selected (Imagining that you keep clearing all the rounds). The College doesn't charge any tuition fee, only food charges are taken from students, on annual basis.

Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) in Anantapur does not offer a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB) program.

The college offers the BSc in food sciences, the eligibility is mentioned below:

10+2 years of schooling from a recognized board (CBSE or equivalent)
Either passed or appeared for Final exams at XII level before Admissions Test
XII Standard: 55% or more (English) and 60% (Aggregate including English)(If not appeared for XII Standard exams, X and XI Standard marks will be considered)
Only candidates with subject combinations in XII Standard of Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry or Botany/Zoology/
Chemistry are eligible to apply
For Women Candidates only.

Candidates can apply online and offline mode for admission in UG, PG, Ph.D., and Diploma Courses. Admission is done after an admission test which is followed by the personal interview round. The merit rank is on the basis of qualifying exam marks, test results, and marks gained from the personal interview round.

You can apply for UG courses after your 12^th. SSSIHL allows students from other states too, you just need to have minimum passing marks required for your course.
