Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate my course curriculum 9/10 because it's really good but do need some improvement on average. Well I chose this curriculum because I was inspired by my uncle who is a civil engineer too. They pretty much prepare us for the real world. The improvement need is that studies are needed to be more practical then theory based. The frequency is average level for exam but tests are pretty difficult

Internships Opportunities

4

I don't know much about the internship and opportunities that the college is providing since I am still in the 1st year of college. However our college encourage students to start their own start up companies and they do help students in that.

Placement Experience

4

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per year is 19990 for all castes. Here if we break down the amount they take 2500 for registration for program fees 2500 for technisia the college fest, 10000 is tution fees and the rest for others things like sports and all. All of batchmates pays the same amt. They provide all the govt and private scholarships to students however there is fee waiver scholarship from the side of college

Campus Life

4

The overall experience is fine not so bad not so good. I would give like 6.5 out of 10. Because the seniors here are kinda really insane so. The annual tech fest is named technisia that will be held this month. You will find everything you need library. The facilities in classroom are quite good and sufficient. The sports and extracurricular activities offered in campus are also fun. Some students do run clubs i don't know much

Admission

The other colleges I applied for are aec, jec, jist, tezpur university, nits. I couldn't qualify for jee so I did get into tezpur university or nits. My rank wasn't that high in cee so I could not get a seat in AEC and JEC. The admission process of my college is pretty simple qualify from CEE sit in the counselling if your rank is not more that 2300 in cee you will get into BBEC

Faculty

4

The faculties of our college are pretty nice they teach us really interactively they are really friendly people. No need to be scared of the faculties at. The ratio of faculties to study I don't have but there are plenty of faculties for each subject. I like every faculties no reason to dislike any of them. There is one mid term and one end term in ever semester. The end term are pretty difficult and average 20 % of students pass the tests.

Night Life

3

Night life is not so quite fun all we do is study. And gym, cafeterias are atleast 6 km away from college. We don't have college girls hostel so I live in pg in my pg curfew is 6:30 pm. Some of the famous hangout places are gaurang park and there is some tea garden in near by area and old kokrajhar town and etc

Other Applied Colleges

Assam Engineering College - [AEC] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Civil Engineering)

I didn't qualify the rank I need to secure for this college and branch.

Jorhat Engineering College - [JEC] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Civil Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For a programme, most of the fundamental course help us build our foundations for applications in real life. It builds us, the knowledge we are required to have for solving issues related to this field. There are some department electives which we can choose as well as open electives which we can choose during the course of our programme, for us. That will be a total of 8 semesters. For doing best during the programme, I suggest, a student to do their best during the first 3 exams, since those exams are scoring but scoring in endsem becomes comparatively difficult due to extreme rigorous checking.

Placements are not really good in our college, it is more of a research institute so it mainly focuses on PhD as PhD strength is good. Higher education is more prefered here but placement scenario is also good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.
