Remarks

The place the college is located is a bit inside and access of facilities are a bit far. Our college focuses too much on academics and vacatuons and free time are very less so most of us basically get fed up after a long session of studies and exams are very tightly packed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

We follow the curriculum of KTU scheme 1. It has many faults and they introduced a new scheme for the new coners with better facilities. Our curriculum was a new one and had soo many faults in it as well as the topics which we cover are not at all useful in our future job related queries. We have 2 internal exams and a final semester exam rounding up as a whole at 150 marks and the cumulative gpa is calculated. There are a total of 8 semesters and a final year project which we need ti conlmplete.

Placement Experience

4.5

In placements and job oppurtunities, our college stands first as 80% of the students are placed in high reputed companies and a lot of companies comes with various job oppurtunities. Our college recoomends going for internships and doing other inline courses through various sites or companies etc.

College Events

2.5

Almost all the important festivals are celebrated. Other than thise we host technical events, cultural events, MUN's etc. Our various events are Freshers Day, Hestia, Evoke, Unaigc, Arts fest, Onam celebrations, Kerala Piravi, Conferences, and other programmes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a government aided college the fee structure is very much feasible compared ri other private colleges. The fees include semester registration fees, semester fees, examination fees etc. For the fees we pay, it is a very good experience in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many government related scholarships are availabke in our college. Im not sure of the names but I can assure many scholarships are available under the governmnet which is all accepted by our college.

Campus Life

2.5

The keep inter college and inter branch competitions for cultural programmes such as singing, dancing, arts etc and sports events such as atheletics, football, basketball, cricket, volleyball etc. The labs present are good but lack latest technology and cleanliness.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facilities are not upto the mark. They lack a lot of cleanliness issues, issues in toilet, food served is of not good quality, 5-6 students have ti stay ina single room which has a very small area.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, our college has one of the strongest alumnus and all of them are ready to help us on any matter such as college events, internships etc. The senior students help us out by conducting workshops, sessions to give us good knowlege and to make us on the right path.

Admission

Based on my entrance results (KEAM) and my 12th marks the results were published and in the allotment process. I got TKM college of engineering as an option and I took admission here. The entrance examination was held for all the engineering colleges working in kerala. The entrance examination had 3 subjects which were Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. My rank in the results were 978 out of the total 45,000 students and I got admission in the second best college in Kerala.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty present in our college are somewhat good. Almost all of them are very much experienced and teach us well but some of them are new ones which makes us students hard to understand what they want to convey.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
