Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose the computer science as I had a knee interest on the software development and the technologies. I got influenced by the college and as i dreamt of studying there from teh day i decided to do engineering. The curriculum prepares me to the real wprld application based on the outcomes of the courses that i have studied. The internals will be kept for every one month and at the end of the semester there will be semester end exmas

Internships Opportunities

5

During the placemenst itself most of the companies offer the intership for 6 months as well. the stined i got was 10k per month in the company where i got placed. and also the main advantage of doing intership is if you are opting for intership then there is no need to attend the classes in the last semester

Placement Experience

5

The placements are really good in the college and the students will be eligible to apply for placemnets post 3 semester, they can participate in the workshops and the trainings conducted by the placement departement and the college basically has 4 tiers, mass - 0-3 lpa, core - 3-7 lpa, dream - 7-10 lpa and super dream for 10lpa+. During our time almost 20k+ companies vicited the campus few of them were tcs, ciscso, wipro etc. Thete is a a almost 95% placements happened

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee including tuition fee, registration fee, admission fee and other are as follows. Year I - 18000, Year II - 23500, Year III - 32500, Year IV - 34000 this is my fees structure as I got the into KCET as i had a good ranking and the fee structure of my college mates ranged differently as they have entred through comedk and management quota. The management quota fee structure is around 2 lakhs per year as i heard and also via COMEDK its 70 thousand.

Campus Life

5

The overall experience is very good in all the aspects. There are various clubs present in the college like NISB core commities and others. The annual fest will be conducted every year which is named as TECHNIKS they will be usually conducted in the month of March. The libraries are really good and have various study materials and also the other books. All the classrooms were well maintained and all were smart classses and smart boards. there were extra curriculum activies like a sport and other stuffs on campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facility is good. I opted for 3 sharing in a room where will be having a dedictaed beds and cupboards to each person. The meal quality is good and also there will be a manu maintained on the daily basis and follow the same. The registration is during the admission itself and it was aorund 30K/year

Admission

The choose the NIE as its a reputed college and my dream college. I entered via KCET in my option entry also i choose the NIE as my first preferences over the other colleges like SJCE and other as the placements are really good in NIX

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 and the faculties were very friendly and knowledgable. There will be 8 semesters and each semester will be having 3 internals and 1 semester end exams. and the aggregation of 50% in the internals is required to be eligible for the semester end exams and the exams are pretty simple and the correction was also liberal as its autonomous. In each semester there will be around 6 main course and 2 extra simple couses with 3 and 1 credits respectively

Night Life

5

The night life in and around the colledge is fantastic. there is a gym area which will be accessible to all the students and also there is 1 canteen and 3 cafeteria in the campus, they will maintain the good hygiene and taste. There were lot of hangout places near the colleges cafes and all

Other Applied Colleges

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering - [SJCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

NIE is predominantly better in all the aspects compared to SJCE, So choose the same

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
