Course Curriculum Overview

5

Basically, I was intersed in hardware desiging and all, So opted for BE in ECE and also one more thing is if i opted for ECE, we have a more flexibilty for moving either into hardware or software. The curriculum was really knowlege oriented and also based on real world applications, as we can either pursue carrer in same domain in either in hardware or move to software in IT. The exams were not so difficult, its pretty easy.

Internships Opportunities

5

There is intership opportunity availabel in the college, during the placement itself most of the companies offer intership and full time offer for the students. In my case I got places in product based company including the intership and my overall CTC is 8lpa and intership stipned is 20K/month for the period of 6 months

Placement Experience

5

The placements are good, and students will become eligible from 4th semester onwards, they can participate in workshops and other stuffs conducted by placement department. I got placed in 6th semester. there are over 85K+ companies visited during our period. and there will be 4 tier in the college policy, like mass, core, dream and super dream. Mass - 0-3lpa, core - 3 - 7 lpa, Dream - 7-10 lpa, Super dream - 10lpa and above Almost there is 98% placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The taotal fee structure including the tution, admission, development and other fees are as follows, Year I - 18500 Year II - 24500 Year III - 32800 Year IV - 34600 Note: This is the fee structure which I got for Govt seat via KCET where I got a good ranking

Campus Life

5

The overall experince is really good, the annual fest takes place once in a year which is knows as TechNIks. there is wise range of books availabel in library. The classrooms were very good and also laboratories are good there are various clubs also present in the college

Admission

I opted for this college as i got the better course here than the other colleges, I applied for like SJCE and Vidyavardakha college of engineering. And my forst preference at time was NIE only as its a pretigious college on the locality. The admission process will be via KCET or COMEDK exams, even management seats are available but fee will be mroe. Mine is via KCET.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio will be 1:10, and all the faculties are really good and supportive. There is overall 8 semester, and there is a semester end exams at the end of semester including 3 internals. The internals marks should be aggregated to 50% to be eligible for semester end exams. The exams and internals were easy only as NIE is a autonomous college.

Night Life

5

There is a gym in campus and there were 2 cafeteria and one canteen in the cmpus. The campus timing will be all day from 8am to 7pm. the college campus and the locality is safe. there were various places for the students to hangout nearby

Other Applied Colleges

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering - [SJCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering)

The course which i got in NIE is better and good compared to courses offered in other colleges

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
