Course Curriculum Overview

4

The couse seemed quite relevent to me yet as I am in my first year so we were also taught other branches as well but all were couse oriented towards respective branches as well. We were taught basics which are very necessary for learning in depth of the courses. The exams were quite tough and was difficult to score. Had to study a lot.

Internships Opportunities

4

I don't know a lot about this stuff as I am a first year student but there are internships for all branches. I heard some people from my branch from third year went to Delhi for the internships and yes it was paid.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a great placement record , also for my branch we had 100 percent placement last placement drive and it was great to hear. The average was around 10000 for my branch and it is very satisfactory as a fresher. If u don't get job you still have a degree from government college so you can still land a good job. One of the best perk of this college is you can pursue higher education here and it very ideal to study for higher education here.

Fees and Financial Aid

It was 6000 for a semester and it's been same for 4 years now. It includes the tution fee which is around 4000 and the rest amount for labarotary, library, and all. You also have to pay for exams which is 500 per semester

Campus Life

3

The college life is great but there is a scarcity for fets and all. There are a lot of clubs from singing clubs to sports to drama to eSports and all. A great spectrum of clubs and a lot of stuff that you can try. There are picnics, sports events for cricket, football, chess and all.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are great and neat. There are a total of 8-9 hostels and all are good. The best part is theya re super affordable as they only cost around 3000 per semester or so and it includes mess which have options for both veg and non vegetarian.

Admission

I was aiming for NITs but my mains were not so great and later when the wbjee results cam out I scored well and I got this college. Calcutta University is also a government run college so it has great placement record and a great team of faculties and it has all one need to master the respective branch so it was a good choice as well compared to NIT. The only thing that lacks is the placement salary numbers are bit low compared to NIT

Faculty

4

The faculty members are highly educated and are great teachers. All have great vibe and are very helpful. Our chemistry teacher is the best among all, he takes so much interest in teaching and is very helping. There are a few who are a bit egoistic but they don't trouble you much other than in classes where they grill you. We have mid semester and end semester exams only and they are a bit tough. Not easy to score great Also the teachers check the papers very strictly.

Night Life

4

We mostly spent the night raining the hostel and spending time playing video games or gossiping about a lot of stuff. Therr is a cafeteria which closes after 10 pm but you can still get your stuff even if the shop is closed
