Life At Somaiya Being A 3rd Year Student Pursuing BCOM.

The exams in the course are operated semester wise being 6 semesters in 3 years. And also many internal exams followed by it for extra curriculum marks. The teachings are often pursued as practical and real life examples and situations. Forecasting of a real situation to actually solve it is acknowledged as a true training method.

The companies offering internships are CISCO, Microfocus, EY, Accenture, TCS, Microsoft, etc. Campus based projects such as Bloombox, Software Development Cell, Onyx, Orion etc were worked. These opportunities are provided for students to learn practical experience and technical skills.

Students become eligible for placements in their final year of study. The College hosted 25 companies in the year 2023 such as HDFC, ICICI, Deloitte, etc. The highest package offered was 8lpa whilst the average package offered was 4lpa. Approximately 82% of students were successfully placed. My Plan after this degree is to pursue a professional course named as CS (Company Secretary)

The yearly fees paid was Rs.13339 for the whole of 3rd year for BCOM Course. I dont have idea about the fees of someone from Management, SC, ST Quota. Whilst there are some known scholarship funds provided for bright students.

The annual fests in Somaiya are as follows: Utkarsh Vihaan Symphony Hooner Abhiyantriki. The library in our college is one of the oldest harbouring almost 85000+ books throughout with CDs and cassettes at its addition. Classrooms are spacious, ventilated and technologically supported such that students studying without any worries. Sports in Somaiya is prioritised being such, if you are into sports, being at somaiya is a great opportunity for you to shine. Most of all the activities such as fests and Clubs are ran by the students.

I got 86.80% in SSC and being from General category it is hard to get a top class college to study at 86.80%. But fortunately after 3 lists i got Somaiya and enrolled at it. While being rejected from colleges like Kelkar, MCC, HR, KC etc.

The faculty memebers are polite and well behaved. The teaching staff especially is good and is responsible for most of the good reputation of the college. The teachers are polite and respond to almost every question asked and answer them in an eay easy for the students to understand.

The gym in the college campus is one of the best gyms you can enroll at, with the best trainers and the best equipments you can get, that too at the lowest prices. The library are usually closed by 6pm at evening. Whilst the canteen are closed by 8pm at night. The mess at Sandipani is open till 2AM. There are many spots in the college to hangout at with your friends or alone like the Giant Chess Board, The Chanakya Garden, The Open Gym and the Haveli is a great place to hangout at.
