K J Somaiya College is incomparable!!

B. Com to me is like an accounting knowledge of hub. My dad has always had the issues with accounting in his office and to address that, he made me take this subject. As unless and until a business owner knows accountancy himself, it actualy becomes difficult for him/her to manage or know the health of their business. Our course is perfect in making us unapologetic perfect in accountancy.

Indusind Bank is where i have secured my internship through Kites internship program which has made tie-up with our college. It was like getting inernship in domain of choice and because i chose finance, NBFC's and Banks were the ones where i gave interview and Indusind Bank selected me for the same.

Placements for B. Com are around 40% as seminars and training for placements hapens from the second year. We are taught skills and CV building as what sort of CV can impress the recruiter. From Flipkart to Lodha Developers to Indusind Bank, we have industries of many domains offering jobs to sudents of our college.

At K J Somaiya Collge of Arts & Commerce which is a part of OG Somaiya Vidhyavihar University. Fees is unbelieveable as at our college for B. Com the fees is just 10,165. Yes, and in that too SC/ST and other students like PWD or EWS gets a complete scholarship on tuition fees which is 90%. So, our college is among the most economical colleges in Mumbai.

Since promoting Marathi Culture is almost mandatory at all colleges in Maharashtra, we have a Marathi fest called Asmita. Then the second biggest fest celebrated at our campus is of BMS department called Hooner. Finally in March we have our annual fest called Hooner and that's biggest among all colleges of Thane district. We have a huge campus conists of 5-6 colleges. We have a an excellent running track and an outstanding indoor badminton court too.

I applied at Narsee Monjee and i also was invited for the second counselling. However, its too far from my house and therefore, i took admission here as i am from Ghatkopar and this college is like 10 mins ride in my scooter. Admissions are based on 12th marks and cut-off for students from Maharashtra was 86% in 2024 and i had secured 89.

As i believe they are the most caring on the planets. They will teach us with care and even in a class of 70 plus students each student are personally taken care of by our faculties. They dont just offer help inside the class but we always have the option of walking to the classrooms and take our matters with them there as well.

Our campus itself have various canteens and one of the best ground to sit and chill that is Vidhyavihar Garden. For cafes too Eat, Sleep, and Repeat is one of the most vibrant canteen that we hardly go out to eat.
