Course Curriculum Overview
I love geography since childhood and I scored the highest in boards so I chose it plus my college has the best geography department in the whole of Kolkata and has the best lab too everyone wants to joing geography in our college getting in here feels great this curriculum prepares us very well for outside or real world by giving us ideas on what to do in future they can improve the department with more frequent classes we have 3 class test exams every semester
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 8000 per semester which is 16000 per year j don't have any scholarship the fees of the complete course is 64000 for four years. All of my classmates has to pay the same fees except for those who got a scholarship.
Campus Life
We have fests every year called lalon theke lenon or the winter carnival the first one in October and the second one in December. We have more that 20 thousand books and journals for every subjects in our library plus we have our own department library as well. We have enough facilities from wifi service to projectors nd computer labs. We have sports even every year and everyone is informed to perform. We have the students union plus groups for environmental works fashion show acting classes etc. they help us grow in other way and help us showcase our talent also help us save the environment.
Admission
I applied in a lot of colleges such as presidency, st Xavier's College Kolkata, Lady Brabourne, Loreto , Scottish Church got accepted in scottish, Loreto , brabourne I chose Asutosh because they made me feel comfortable and has the best geography department. I got rejected by presidency i didn't have enough marks. The admission process is easy you have to apply from the website then keep on checking the list if u get accepted you have to pay the admission fee.
Faculty
We have 10 faculty professors and 84 students per sem but the teachers handles us quite well I love geography faculty economics and statistics the most because these are the most famous ones with cool people. I don't like BA general as people there are very low graded and doesn't behave well. We have 8 semester and a lot of class tests semesters are the hardest especially 3,5,7th class tests are moderate to hard.
Night Life
We have gym of our own college who takes 100 per months with all the amenities we have quite a lot of food stalls in front of our colle6and cafes near it there are many people in the late evening and night hanging out around our college we have on campus hostels but mostly people stay in pgs the college timings are from 10 am to 6:00 pm We have Cafe opposite our college and Social hideout a bit further they're the most famous othe than that many little cafes.
