What Students Say

Likes

the best this of the collage is the all the exams are mcq based with help a lot
infrastruture is pretty decent. And still in development (some of the parts)
the faculty and the clubs of the collage are supportive

Dislikes

for 1st year most of the facutly is new arrivals .
For some subjects they have less facutly from as much they req.
campus size is small as compared to how much there cources are in this collage

Course Curriculum Overview

the exams have pretty good level as they are mcq bases. The collage provide us a platform called as code radar where students can practice there coding skilles and practice there coding language . there are mulilty team base projects given to us

Internships Opportunities

i came to know that this time a good amount of companies have came for placements and iters some are - blinket, amazon, apple , wipro, zaggle , infosys . so in this collage there a lot of hackthons keep on going where you can show case your ability nby which compaines can recruit you.

Placement Experience

the placement in chitkara University, rajpura, punjab is not bad as compared to its compeditior around it . average package is not that bad i.e 8,20000 which i think is pretty decent as compared to other and considiring the inflanation

Fees and Financial Aid

So the semester fee of bachelor in engerring is 120000. so it about 240000 yearly . There nothing called scholarships in this collage accoriding to my atmost knowledge. execpt for the students with national or international certificates in sports

Campus Life

So there are a lot clubs in this collage so there are good amount events every week. some of the popular clubs are 1. greek for greeks 3. coding nijas 2. open source chandigarh there a unique club known as happiness club which is very good happy club

Hostel Facilities

So there is a algorithem that in staring of season the hostel mess will provide you pretty good food, but with the time its quality will keep on decreasing . but its a good thing all the faculty and hostel wardens have to eat the same food

Hostel Fee: INR 144000 per year

Admission

As i was not able to score good in joint enterence exam JEE . so i have very less collages left to take admisson in around my area. So accoring to adults and collage dunia's review i opt this collage with is not a bad dicision...

Faculty

faculty to student ratio : 1/60 , for some of the subjects they have less teacher as much req. the exams are in 2 tier and futher in 1 tier there are 2st(Seasonal test) and 1 end terms . all the st's and the end terms are mcq based. and for the coding part they have there own system

Night Life

so there in the gym is paid there is like 100000 yr renewal charges of the gym and you need to select the batch morinng and evening . there library timing are like 9:00 am to 11:00pm other then weekennd and on weekend its 9:00 am - 9:00 pm . hostels timing are 12:00 am for boys and 11:30 for girls

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

How can Lovely Professional University change your way of life.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.

A life in Chitkara university

i applied to a few colleges including BML Munjal, LPU, Thapar and CU. I recieved confirmation from BML munjal and CU, but after comparing everything carefully, i eventally chose my current college. BML Munjal was a good option, but it was on the expensive side and travel and living costs were also higher. LPU had a lot of options but the crowd and distance were concerns for me, so I didn't go ahead with it. i didn't face any major rejections, but i didn't pursue a few colleges further after the counselling rounds because their cutoffs or fee structures didn't match what i was comfortable with. the admission process of my college was straighforward.it was based on class 12th marks and JEE for non medics, 12th and cuiet for commerce or humantities and neet for medical students and the standard counselling procedure. there was no complicated entrance exam for my course. the cutoffs were reasonable and the documentation part was also simple...Read More

I apply for Chandigarh university and i got my confirmed admission form but i have to choose chitkara because Chandigarh University is very far from my house and other reason for choosing chitkara is that chitkara is good in placements criteria as compared to Chandigarh University. No i dont get any rejection from any college.
